  1. Jungle Rot - "Kill On Command" Jungle Rot - "Terror Regime"
  2. Jungle Rot - "Fueled by Hate" Jungle Rot - "War Zone" Jungle Rot - "What Horrors Await"
  3. Creeping Death - "Boundless Domain" Jungle Rot - "Slaughter the Weak"
  4. Excellent choice! That's my #2 album in the entire Judas Priest catalog, only behind "Painkiller". Can't wait for "Invincible Shield" next month!
  5. Vitriol - "Suffer & Become" Obsessed with this fresh slab of death metal.
  6. I am loving this album immensely! Hate Eternal is my favorite death metal band, and I hear a lot of their influence in this new slab from Vitriol. This thing is crushing from beginning to end.
  7. Bullet - "Heading for the Top" Bullet - "Bite the Bullet" Bullet - "Speeding in the Night" (EP) Bullet - "Highway Pirates" Bullet - "Full Pull" My goodness, I hope these Swedish rockers put out a new album this year. Last one was "Dust to Gold" in 2018.
  8. If you so choose, I don't think you'd be disappointed if you checked out the rest of their output!
  9. A HUGE thumbs-up to any mention of Jungle Rot! Love those guys. Their last few albums have all been thoroughly enjoyable. Being a groove metal guy above all else, I think it's that element of Jungle Rot's sound that holds my attention without fail. Gonna jam to these guys on my way to the office tomorrow morning!
  10. Two scorchers to open that album for sure! Great call with My Dying Bride! I have the whole discography, and "The Dreadful Hours" is my favorite from them, with "Songs of Darkness, Words of Light" coming in right behind it. Those first two have a special place for me, too, though. Aaron Stainthorpe is such an underrated vocalist. Very cool! Glad to hear you enjoy that album as well! Yes, Loomis really needs to get back to that Nevermore style with a new band. His playing is phenomenal, and it would work with a speed metal band or a thrash band, honestly. I could see him playing in a band similar to the sound of Reverend or Anvil, and I could also see him playing in a band that sounds like Artillery. He's such a versatile player. One can only hope he does that some day!
  11. Glad to hear my comment rekindled a desire for you to check out "This Godless Endeavor" again! It's such a good album. "Psalm of Lydia" is my favorite track, and it was actually the very first track I ever heard from Nevermore, and I was hooked from then on. Once you've listened to the album again, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.
  12. Great call with that Nevermore album! "This Godless Endeavor" is my favorite from them, although "Dead Heart in a Dead World" and "Politics of Ecstasy" aren't far behind it. Dane had a unique voice - such a shame that we lost him so soon.
  13. Accept - "Stalingrad" Accept - "Blind Rage" Accept - "The Rise of Chaos"
  14. Accept - "Blood of the Nations"
  15. KK's Priest - "Sermons of the Sinner" KK's Priest - "The Sinner Rides Again"
  16. Leather - "Leather II" Leather - "We Are the Chosen" Pummeling heavy metal that never fails to be enjoyable. Highly recommended!
  17. Enforced - "War Remains" Malleus - "The Fires of Heaven" Great blackened thrash! A true pleasure to listen to at the gym today.
  18. Leather - "Shock Waves" Nice and heavy traditional metal. Leather Leone (frontwoman for Chastain as well) has a perfect voice for hard rock/heavy metal. All 3 of her solo albums are great.
  19. Torch - "Reignited" Swedish no-frills heavy metal band that apparently got started back in the early 1980's before my time but never really made it big. They disbanded in 1986 before reuniting for some shows during stretches of 2013 and 2018. This 2020 release is a comeback of epic proportions! Rocks hard from beginning to end. Highly recommended!
  20. I had a feeling it might not be your cup of tea, Mr. GG! That's perfectly okay! I think Biff sounds as good - if not better - than he did all of those years ago when Saxon was a young band. There isn't a single song that I don't thoroughly enjoy on this latest slab of tasty heavy metal - heavy, dark, and uncompromising. The title track, "Fire and Steel", "There's Something in Roswell", and "Witches of Salem" are my favorites thus far, but the entire thing is just fantastic. I enjoy "modern" Saxon (which, for me, goes all the way back to 1995's "Dogs of War") a great deal more than the classic stuff - not just because the beefier production gives the sound more bite to it, but because the songwriting is genuinely better, in my opinion. Your posts are always enjoyable to read, and I look forward to our interactions on here, so feel free to tell me why I'm living on another heavy metal planet with my controversial take stated above!
  21. Saxon - "Hell, Fire & Damnation" Finally, I've arrived at the end of this amazing catalog and listened twice through the brand new slab of metal from these legends. Their 2022 release, "Carpe Diem", was fantastic, and this one is even better. Biff just sounds incredible, and the riffs are heavy and memorable. I cannot rave enough about these metal titans! Torch - "Dark Sinner" I've had this album for a few years now but only listened to it once or twice. I dusted it off this evening, and wow! Straight-forward, no-frills, undiluted heavy metal!
  22. Saxon - "Battering Ram" Saxon - "Thunderbolt" Saxon - "Carpe Diem" Can't wait to finally get to check out the brand new album tomorrow!
  23. Saxon - "Call to Arms" Saxon - "Sacrifice"
  24. Saxon - "Into the Labyrinth"
  25. Saxon - "Lionheart" Saxon - "The Inner Sanctum"
