Don't care for literature classic or not so classic, I'm not intellectual enough to read that stuff.
I do read 5 or 6 books a month, some from known authors some from unknown authors self publishing their waffle just like I did for a while. Most of my interest sits in horror/thriller, spy, crime, and I do tend to read quite a bit of Aussie fiction. But I also read bios, some true crime and I've even been known to read a bit of science, maths and physics related books when the mood hits me.

Sickrecy - Salvation Through Tyranny, Sweden 2022, this is just as much death metal as it is grindcore. One of the finest meldings of death/crust/grind I've ever heard. Absolutely glorious.
Not bad

Now that's a discussion the whole forum will get into!!

Violent Sin - Serpent's Call

I haven't heard it yet. I was waiting for a review from another forum.

Hard Ons released a new album last week.

According to Google it's exists. Such bands Bal-Salgoth, Black Death, Children Of Bodom, Beast In Black and Black Majesty. I haven't heard the first three, I definitely wouldn't have called Beast In Black any form of blackened music and Black Majesty I'm sure have always been power metal.
LastFM also list a whole bunch of bands I've never heard of.

Cheesy is today's word it seems and yep, it's cheesy.
Well if we can have pizza thrash, then surely we can have cheesy metal.
The only other argument would be whether cheesy and pizza go together with pineapple.

I listen to a bit of power metal, not as much as I used to and these days only from a handful of bands. I've listened to it since before the days when Manowar were hated for their goofy photo shoots and not their music. I love the fact that so many people feel the need to shit on power metal and over the years I have tuned into some bands purely because I heard people talk shit about them. I don't like every power metal band but I do love the way so many people vocally hate power metal.

Great choice! Always cool to see a fellow Gloryhammer fan on here! I was a bit skeptical once Winkler left the band, but the new singer is fantastic. I'll be playing the new album today quite a bit. Another great release day.
For me the enduring draw of cheesy power metal is driven by the idea that so many other people feel the need to vocally dislike it.

Even with it being a entertainment precinct one of the problems is the control the AFL expect to have over it yet they are putting only a small portion of the money into it, (compared to other investors). AFL demand the ground be in a fit state for football 8-10 months of the year, that means concerts/entertainment have to schedule around the AFL not the AFL scheduling around events that make good use of the centre.

From what I heard this morning it's not about restricting people protesting it's about trying to stop the violent and stupid protesting similar to what Victoria saw during lockdown. They aren't trying to stop protests, they've just increased the fines from $750 to (a max) of $50K because too many of these serial protesters that do nothing else in life other than follow protests are crowd funded by dickheads on social media and raising $750 is too easy. Even the increased jail time is "potential" time served not mandatory.

Who said anything about acting dishonourably? In your own words standing up and being a Kamikaze for society is honourable.
I protect no one. I stand for no one. I side with no one.

Been reading a bit about kamikazes and general concepts of Japanese ritual suicide. To be honest, I wish we had some of that kind of honour in our society.
Well, be a leader, not a follower, step up and show us some honour.
