....I've heard that gripe about ATHEIST more than once...but I kind of liken their live performances to CROWBAR....it depends on the show....I've seen ATHEIST 4 or 5 times...once at a show in France...they sounded excellent....but I saw them totally shit the bed a couple of times too....the singer has usually been the problem for me....some shows, he was ear-punishingly awful....others, he sounded really solid....if I ever go to any more live shows and they are on the bill, I'll give 'em another shot....

CHEMTRAILS OSLO - 4Chan-Methrock .....WhiteNoise....you'll love the song about MORRISSEY.....

DEAFHEAVEN - Infinite Granite .....first full listen....sounds alright to me....competent shoegaze....along the same lines as LANTLOS and PIANOS BECOME THE TEETH....fits right in with bands like RIDE, MY BLOODY VALENTINE, ALCEST, etc......

...that NEPHASTUS record is so underrated.....what a great band....I'd take them over SEPULTURA any day....

....it's definitely another fantastic record in a long list of great records by NAPALM DEATH....they are one of the few long running bands who I can say has not made a record that I don't like....consistently in my top 20 every year they put out a record....even my least favorite by them, "Words From The Exit Wound", is still a really good record... ....the only record I have by MUD CITY MANGLERS is "Gimme The Hammer".....it is rad as fuck....I know they have a bunch of splits but they are not easy to find for a decent price.....THE MONO MEN have been around forever....they influenced a bunch of the Seattle bands....you can't go wrong with any of their stuff....if you dig them, check out these guys.... ....WhiteNoise....yeah I found it a week or so ago when I was looking for a video, to post on here, of an ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN record I was listening to at the time....they have loads of rad as fuck punk rock on there....the sound quality is good enough that sometimes I just listen directly through YouTube....especially when it's something I don't have in my collection....like PETER PAN SPEEDROCK...of which I'm already in the process of rectifying....not easy to find on vinyl....goddamit...
