....one of my favourite bands from the 1970's was FOCUS....they were always overlooked as an elite prog band, but they had some of the best musicians of all time especially JAN AKKERMAN...one of the most talented guitarists who ever lived....THIJS VAN LEER is also amazing and still leads FOCUS....just found this clip of an appearance on "Don Kirschner 's Rock Concert ".....I've seen it before, but it's been a little while.... BEGINNING OF THE END - If You're Going Through Hell...Keep Going .....more thrash than crust but still a fairly solid record....it's basically a more crossover/thrash AGNOSY with a different singer.....I ...now back to what really matters... HYPOCRISY - Hypocrisy .....can't even remember the last time I listened to this band....until today....still pretty damn good, despite not being the style of DM I listen to much anymore....

....I agree....I can hear a distinct nod to YES and EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER in spots on several AMORPHIS records.... DODMORKE - Hatehymns ....I do not hear any nods to YES or E.L.P. on this record......
