In my quest to figure out the world of black metal I stumbled upon these lads. Very nice. And somehow I love the album cover. It makes me fall in love and it creeps me out at the same time.
Odraza - Rzeczom

Started listening after recommendation made by No Clean Singing. Very enjoyable indeed.
ATVM - FAMINE, PUTRID AND FUCKING ENDLESS

If you don't want to get laid that's the way to go yes. Even we Dutch pay for when we take out the girls.
But we very much welcome an emancipated lady who insists to pay herself. 😁

Welkom, now we have two Dutch men. Two that I know about anyway.

Welcome fellow Dutch man! Hope you enjoy it here. I also just arrived so still finding my way around but this is a cool place for sure!

French angry stuff. It attracted me when they mentioned having Benighted guys in it. I like Benighted a lot. They play some super fast BM and at first instance it sounds ok.

Realizing these guys need to come up with new material soon. I feel these guys are much underrated. I love them so much.
Man Must Die - No Tolerance for Imperfection
-
Unfortunately only an EP but good enough to quench my thirst. These guys are so amazing!
Unfathomable Ruination - Decennium Ruinae
-
Funny the Bowie songs appearing in this thread. I was never much into him. Some songs maybe. But mid 70's I was only 5-6 years old so missed all that music.
Listneing now to Ominous Ruin - Amidst Voices That Echo In Stone. Really nice tech death and exactly how I like it release like Unbirth and Cytotoxin I think.

Nice, I love their self-titled album, haven't heard this one. In the queue for tomorrow.
Hope you dig it as I did

These guys dont get old. Their last album really grabs me.
Solstice - Casting the Die
-
Catching up on my death metal - been really binging black metal lately. Can't ignore my big death metal passion though.
Inoculation - Celestial Putridity
-
Guess not super original but quite enjoyable. Energetic riffy death/thrash.
Steel Bearing Hand - Slay in Hell
-
Grave Miasma - Abyss of Wrathful Deities
-
Many meh moments - very little metal to be found here. I guess I am not ready for this yet. When the metal kicks in I dig it. It is sparse though.

Good for having such ambitions. But you are likely more than aware that the majority of metal bands don't make any money, let alone making a living. And that isn't only in your country, that goes for States, Canada and Europe too. If a very good and well known band can be break even I believe they are doing remarkably well.
But that shouldn't let you down and the best way is to start spreading your music, make your music available on Bandcamp, Youtube and so and send your demo's to metal records and magazines that supports your style of metal. Not even sure what you play.
I am not in any band or what but I am following the metal scene for some 35 years so I have picked up some info here and there.

Damn, I bet it did! Glad you're doing ok, hope you can stay healthy. Cancer is fucking scary and so destructive. I quit smoking in my early 20s, and I used to occasionally go back to it if I wanted to have a cigar or something, but that was another thing that was hard to moderate. It's been quite a few years since I had any tobacco now and I don't miss it at all.
Thanks - I was super lucky in one way because it was all very curable and I took it as a huge warning to make sure I quit smoking and prohibit me from getting worse kinds of the disease.
Good you didn't need any of similar warnings to give up smoking!

It seems like it's easier for me to be either on or off than it is to be a truly moderate and occasional drinker, but I'm going to try.
That's what I have with smoking. I can't have one. It's all or nothing. Now I am off smoking for almost 3 years after I was diagnosed and treated and cured for cancer. That made me stop smoking alright!

In fact alcohol is considered a hard drug in some countries because of its addictive character. Your point that it is socially accepted is so true, so we don't bother too much but there is much drama all over the place because of alcohol. A friend of us is addicted for many years and fell over in the bathroom few months ago and bashed his head on the bathroom sink. This resulted in him getting into coma and right now he is just above vegetative state with very low expectations that he will ever be better. Main cause is years of alcohol abuse leading to this result. I have been drinking heavily in my youth and consistent for the years after. Like 2-3 glasses of wine or some whiskey/ brandy. Not getting pissed anymore. I think I can go without alcohol which is true if it isn't available, like when I am at work for weeks without any alcohol I am good. If there is any within grabbing distance I for sure pour me a glass of one or the other.
