Ulcerate - Shrines of Paralysis. Better than Vermis, roughly on the same level of The Destroyers of All. Everything is Fire is still their best effort though. Looking forward to hear news from Paul Kelland and the others, a new album would be a fine surprise.

I use Spotify almost on a daily basis (on my PC and iPad) and it works like a charm. Unlike mobile's version, it is much more reliable. You can actually choose which songs you want to listen and ads only pop up once in a while. Streaming quality is pretty good too, so no use buying the premium counterpart unless you are very selective about that. The only issue is perhaps the fact album dates/titles can get messy (eg: they swapped two Immolation songs from Unholy Cult). Also you can't find stuff like Grand Belial's Key, Peste Noire or Arghoslent, but that's another story.

I should probably give it an additional listen. They clearly took inspiration from Svartidauði but overall, the result is less cohesive, and songs tend to meander a lot.

Hope you all had a nice Christmas. I finally decided to start an electric guitar course, which will hopefully help me to gain enough confidence to start recording music, and perhaps to start a band/label someday. 

Listened to some new stuff during December. What caught my attention:

1) Svartidauði - Revelations of the Red Sword. Significantly more death metal than their previous stuff, but turns out it still works fine. They decided to go for medium-lenght instead of the usual 10 mins compositions (Flesh Cathedral, Untitled etc..) but it really fits the more aggressive approach.

2) Death Karma - The History of Death & Burial Rituals part II. I'm really digging this. Was expecting a typical caverncore release, got an experimental album instead, that combines heavy death metal riffage with folklore and legends of various populations.

3) Baise Ma Hache - F.E.R.T.  One of their best albums so far. Title track really stands out, and the rest is pretty good too.

Yup.I'm starting to dig it a little bit more right now, but I've seen so many people argue it was an embarassing attempt to experiment with trap. Considering the new album will bring much more variety though, I hope everything turns out well.

I listened to the new Peste Noire song and I think I've never been so confused in my entire life. For your interest, it contains zero metal. I'd call it "militant trap" for lack of better description.

Sorry for the late reply. I don’t know much except from the fact Famine stated in his interview before Asgardsrei 2017 that he was working on experimental compositions for his next album, kinda like in “L’Ordure a L’etat Pur”, which I personally loved

Very traditional, almost seems like something Baise Ma Hache would write. I really dig it, hopefully the album will be as good as this. I've read something from the Militant Zone website and it says the album will be actually split into two different parts, the second one being more off-kilter and experimental
