I haven't listened to much, only a couple of songs. I wasn't impressed with what I heard though. I hate to be negative about music. I'm usually very compliant, but out of the many bands of this genre that i have listened to, the ones I have disliked the most seem to be Suicide Silence and the Devil Wears Prada..

I just found Motley Crue : The Dirt in perfect condition at a thrift store. Only $1. Did not miss that opportunity - - anyway, I enjoy sci-fi, horror, and non-fiction american history. I don't read that much, but I buy books all the time.

It is really annoying, and their attitude to whoever doesn't agree. I really love Underoath, they helped me during hard times. I also listen to Silverstein, the Color Morale, and that's really as far as it goes for 'post-hardcore' anymore. I listen to some metalcore, Norma Jean being my favorite there, and old Atreyu. What bands do you like?

I really hate that song. I don't like most of that album. Snuff is good, though. My favorites are Opium of the People, Virus of Life, and Pulse of the Maggots..

I know! Sleeping with Sirens are pretty awful too, and there are some post-hardcore bands that i will listen to. I don't know what these kids find so great about them. It's odd.

I've read this, but have yet to see the movie. They cost a lot of money. I love the book, though. It's by Diana Wynne Jones, If anyone is interested.

these nu-metal bands are pretty mainstream, it seems that every forum i visit, they are the most popular mentioned (besides the post-hardcore tween stuff like Sleeping with Sirens and Black Veil Brides). I'm a fan of Slipknot, at least of their early albums, and Vol. 3, but I don't listen to them much anymore. I used to be into Linkin Park in middle school. They have since changed their sound, and i have no interest in what they are putting out now. Deftones are my favorite nu-metal band (even though I don't see them as nu-metal). I have never been into SOAD much, there are a couple of songs that i like, Question! and Prison Song are my favorites. I used to be really into Disturbed, as well. I have 4 of their albums but I don't listen to them at all anymore. Device is David Draiman's new project. Sounds good, but I can't get into them. I still listen to Marilyn Manson frequently, but i'm more into his older music. I can't stomach Limp Bizkit.

FMA Brotherhood is supposed to be much better than FMA. FMA Brotherhood is completely based on the manga.I haven't watched all of either, so I can't give an opinion, but I have tried reading the manga, and it isn't bad.

I do enjoy some anime, but I don't watch a lot of what's popular right now. basically, If Toonami comes out with it, I stay far away. I won't watch Naruto, or Bleach, and I don't even have interest in Death Note. I don't have a problem with subtitles, and usually go for the subbed anime rather than the dubbed. I read a lot of manga, too, more than I watch anime. I prefer the psychological genre.

great list, I also like Candlemass, Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, Eyehategod. some of my personal favorites are Acid Bath, Fleshpress, Sleep, and Sons of Otis [h=1]Acid Bath was the band that opened my eyes to doom.[/h] I don't listen to a lot of Drone, myself , but it sometimes does something for me. - Checking out those bands you mentioned that I haven't heard, especially the death/doom. So far, I am really liking Unholy.

Slipknot is my favorite Nu-Metal band, mostly due to nostalgia. Deftones is also a favorite band of mine, but I have never seen them classified under nu-metal..

I listen to Kaotik occasionally. Somehow they got into one of my playlists.. but they sound pretty good. I found Nevertanezra on FB, maybe I will pick up a CD of their's sometime, I see they just released one. Thanks for the recommendation.

i have tried getting into death metal, I have a friend that is really into it. I enjoy the music, but the vocals aren't my cup of tea. I'm open minded, however, and if you have any bands you want to recommend, i would be happy to give a listen.

I am mostly into the Doom ,Sludge, and Stoner sub-genres when it comes to metal. I also frequently listen to the old heavy metal bands like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. I don't care much for Thrash Metal, or Death Metal.
