  1. I'm from Spain, I am living in London . To me the food in Wacken is cheaper than in Hellfest. But I don't know more Europe festivals, I only know some in Spain, and of course, the food there is the cheapest! and the best!! hahahaha. But yes, your are totally right, Wacken is really expensive, and pay everything in one month is absolutely imposible. First thing this year after Wacken is buy the tickets for the next one!
  2. I've been in Hellfest this year. I was going to Sweeden, but first of all I didn't have enough money for that, and Hellfest this year had a lineup amazing. I saw 40 bands, 40! And because Hellfest is not a festival so crowded than Wacken, it was very easy to change from one stage to another. I saw all concerts very close, even Kiss! The food is more expensive than in Wacken, but I ate well. There are a lot of parties at night, shopping cart fights, batukadas, again, with shopping carts and everything that can be drummed, huge bonfires...in brief the heavy metal atmosphere. I will come back, for sure!
  3. I've been in Wacken twice, 2011 and 2012, and I love it! Even the last year with all the mud, I had a very good time. The problem was that It was raining for one month without stopping, so when we arrived there and it started to rain again, the mud was everywhere, and it was deep and so slippery! But funny, because there are always people who like to swim naked and drunk on the mud, that is a great show hehehe. Wacken is the perfect holiday of a metalhead because of the heavy metal atmosphere, that involves everywhere and everybody in the town. The food is great and cheap, and there are a lot of different kinds. But to taste viking food, or to see an entire pig rolling on the skewer while roasting, is necessary to go to Wackinger Village. The stalls have amazing things, as well as the ones in the Metal Market. And the sound of the concerts is great. I will go next year, because is the 25 anniversary. And for those people who think than Wacken is not affordable at all, I think it depends of many things, but I didn't spend so much money when I went and thinking about all the things that Wacken offers, is worth going once in your lifetime!
  4. Hi guys! Thank you for the welcome! The Rolling Stones are known as Their Satanic Majesties from 1967 because of the song Sympathy for the Devil and obviously, for the Album Their Satanic Majesties Request. And this name is not related with Satanism, the title is a play on the "Her Britannic Majesty request and requires..." text that appears inside the British passport. But, at the same time, they were known for being the bad guys in Rock and Roll as well as The Beatles were the good guys, so this nickname was perfect. macabreeternal I am working for the NHS too, in a lovely hospital here in London, in PICU.
  5. Hello everybody, I am a Spanish nurse living in London recently, discovering everyday the metal world here. I'm into all sorts of metal, from trash to hard rock, glam and power. But overall, I love their satanic majesties, The Rolling Stones. I usually go every year to a festival, I've been twice in Wacken and this year in Hellfest. It's great to meet new bands, that is what I'm looking forward here and also, meet metalheads from all over the world. See you around!
