Re: Confero (melodic metal) There is two live videos of us almost on the top of the page, but they are nothing to good. That was the first concert with our new vocalist so the cleans are a little down (had practiced with him in two weeks before that gig). Hey guys! I would really appreciate it if you took the time to check out my band! We are five boys from the ages 16 - 21 playing hard ass metal with lots of harmonic riffs and breakdowns. The vocals in this band are mostly screaming but we try to add some clean vocals but that's where it gets a little hard because we are trying to make the clean vocals sound really "epic" and in a way you've never heard before. Almost everything on the side is in norwegian so if you have any questions about the posts, feel free to ask. (I also think Google Translate could do most of the job, cus everything is written in the norwegian language.. by that I mean not in accent). http://www.facebook.com/Conferoband Me and my band (Confero) are playing some gigs next week. On wednesday were opening for Like Rats From A Sinking Ship! If you haven't heard them you should defiantly check them out! This is their last tour before they are breaking up.. That's kind of sad but really cool that my band gets the honor of opening for them first! On Saturday were playing the "Heavy Mental" festival in Stokmarknes, Norway! That is a really awesome festival to play! Actually I can't call it a festival, it's just a gig for us and some other bands. So it's kind of a local bands gig! Anyways, it's gonna fucking rock! If we film something of it, I'll put it up here! You can see some live videos of us in my signature link.

Re: what got you listening to metal? To be honest, I didn't listen to any specific type of music until the seventh grade. Then my dad got me in to bands like AC/DC, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin and Pantera. I've listened to metal every day since. Of course now I am a bit older and my music style has changed a little. I now listen to bands like Symphony X, Lamb of God, Periphery, Tesseract, Dimmu Borgir, Meshuggah and Trivium. Anyways that's my story!

Re: Periphery and DT live in Norway! I agree! Dream Theater and Fucking PERIPHERY! Sadly I'm not going myself.. like he said they sold out But I know about 8-9 people that are going there, and that sucks.. for me.

What bands/genres do you guys listen to?

Hi, my name is Thomas Edvardsen. The music I listen to is mostly metalbands like: As I Lay Dying, Periphery, Tesseract, We Came As Romans, Pantera, Lamb of God, August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold and so on.. I could go on for a while about all the bands I listen to so let's stop here. I am from the North parts of Norway. I play in a band called "Confero", I play guitar and I am the co-screamer in the band. Our genre is melodic metal, mostly influenced by As I Lay Dying, We Came As Romans and Avenged Sevenfold. I also play in a band with the Moderator "Apocalypse922" called.. well, we haven't found a name yet. We play metal, mostly influenced by Pantera and Lamb of God. In this band I am playing the drums and Apoc is playing guitar! More posts to come! Bye..
