  1. Re: Slayer

Was good' date=' but not anymore.[/quote'] Amen! I was a diehard fan until I saw them live. Never again! Their last good album was 'Diablos in Musica'. After that they hopped in the suck train.
  2. Re: SEPULTURA Never got into their first album, but I LOVE everything that came after, up to and including the sellout album 'roots'. My favorite is a toss up between 'Chaos AD' & ' Schizophrenia' however.

  3. Re: Pets

I want a penguin. Or a turtle' date=' or a koala. But preferably a penguin, because they're so cool.[/quote'] Turtles aren't bad. Box turtles are probably the easiest to take care of. Red ear turtles are assholes however. My wife and I have a black lab named Mr. Grimm. He's the most hyper active dog I've every owned and he's a complete bitch on top of that. Dogs ftw!
  4. Re: Not heard much of this Fear Factory is all filler to me. They have 1 good song on any of their albums with two being alright and the rest being painfully lame. I used to have all their albums up to Digimortal but traded them for Star Wars toys. I'm not sure why I ever listened to them in the first place...

  5. Re: Live Albums

Very True!! great album, I also Love Obituary's Dead and Maidens Live after death! My Dying Bride and Amorphis have both come out with great live albums also!
You're right, I had completely forgotten about MDB's first live album 'Voice of the Wretched'. That is an excellent live album as well. I haven't heard anything live from Amorphis however.
  6. Re: Funeral Doom Oh I'm familiar with all their material. Not sure how you're comparing death growls to weak core vocals but in any event he does have a different voice. The deceased vocalist for Iron Monkey had some crazy vocals as well. Although I don't recommend that band, they redefined suck.

  7. Re: Jackyl

Jackyl is unfairly lumped into "hair metal." They didn't have that image at all' date=' and they often had some neat southern influences in their music.[/quote'] Musically they fit the scene and while I'll agree that visually they lacked the trappings of their peers, their inclusion in said style is apt.
