  1. I saw some people arguing that they didn't like the audio quality. But i really liked it.
  2. I listen to bands discographies to have an opinion about the band. But recently i am only listening "new" (I mean not listened yet) discographies. But the problem is that i don't remember very well the songs names from the bands that i most liked. But i can remember the albums that i most liked by their covers and the bands that i most liked it,like Pentagram,Sabbat (Japan),Korn,Hatebreed,Pantera,Deicide,Meshuggah,Raven,Acid,Gojira,Yngwie Malmsteen and etc. Do i doing it wrong?
  3. I am very acquainted to these genres and their bands:traditional,speed,doom,Power,black,thrash,Death,groove,grunge,nu,90s metalcore, sludge and progressive. Some war metal too.I am missing a lot of genres, but which genres and who are the pioneers or most important artists from these genres? Avant-Garde (Only listened Meshuggah, but some people consider them djent) Crust Punk (Only listened Amebix,Discharge and Hellbastard) Alternative Funk (Only Living Colour and Faith No More) Rap (Only RATM,Biohazard and Limp Bizkit) Folk (Only Skyclad) Glam (Only Motley Crue) Industrial (Only Godflesh and Fear Factory) Gothic (Some Paradise Lost, but they are more death-doom) Grindcore (Only Napalm Death and some Carcass) Neoclassical (Only Yngwie Malmsteen and Symphony X) Neue Deustch Haste (Only Rammstein) Pagan Celtic Symphonic (Only Epica) Post (Only Pelican) Djent (Only TesseracT) Nu Metalcore Electronicore Nintendocore Viking (Only Bathory) Kawaii Latin Modern Metalcore (Only Killswitch Engage)
  4. I really liked Cream,Jimi Hendrix,Blue Cheer,Iron Butterfly and etc.I feel garage punk influentiated too.
  5. You consider Cream proto-metal?I don't know why,but after listen them,i feel they are proto-metal to me,like Sir Lord Baltimore,Jimi Hendrix and Blue Cheer.I am not considering the holy britain Trinity (Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple) as proto-metal but heavy metal.I liked Iron Butterfly and Mountain too.But what you think about it?Who you consider proto-metal?
  6. I discovered that 90s Metalcore its so different from Killswitch Engage stuff (The only Metalcore band that i listened full discography) And other 2000s bands.I am enjoying to listen Earth Crisis,Hatebreed,Integrity,Starkweather,All Out War and Ringworm.I see people refering to these bands as metallic hardcore. But is Metalcore so loose term to tag these bands and another bands from 2000 and after that? And is djent to you a Metalcore genre?Wikipedia only stated that extreme metal with progressive, industrial and groove influentiated it.But sometimes djent looks like a metalcore to me.
  7. I have two questions:Why some headbangers fight about Meshuggah be djent or not?And whats the name's origin of groove metal genre? Its true that their name only originated at XXI century?
  8. You guys know bands that mix hardcore or crossover with groove metal like Pro-Pain and Prong? I already listened discographies from Pantera,Meshuggah,Lamb of God,Lazarus A.D.,Sepultura,Exhorder,Ektomorf and Grip Inc. I am listening to:Pro-Pain,Prong,White Zombie,Machine Head,Fear Factory,Throwdown,Product of Hate,Gojira,Chimaira,Devildriver,Soulfly and Jinjer (I saw that Wikipedia considers Biohazard too and i am listening them, but people say they are more hardcore/rap). I want some industrial/groove and progressive/techdeath/groove recommendations too like Fear Factory and Gojira.
  9. You guys know thrash metal bands that sound like Slayer,Kreator,Destruction and Sodom (With satanic topics)? And black metal bands like Marduk and Immortal and first two Sepultura releases?
  10. Hello.I always saw Wikipedia states the Big 4 of thrash,Big 4 of German Power Metal and even Big 4 of techdeath. But i never saw from other genres. So i want to ask:Which would be your Big 3/4/5/6 from the genres: -NWOBHM -Groove -Speed (Not thrash or power.) -USPM -1st Black Metal wave -2nd black metal wave -War Metal You can say from another genres too, like Folk,Industrial,Viking,Neoclassical,NWOTHM,NWOAHM and etc.I want to know to have an idea which bands are the most influential from each genre.
