Fountainhead is the alter-ego of guitar player / composer / producer Tom Geldschläger. Operating from his studio in Berlin, Germany, Tom has appeared on countless records as a guitar player, arranger, producer, mixing-engineer and sometimes keyboard player. He´s recorded and toured with artists like Marco Minnemann, Defeated Sanity, Jimmy Pitts, Xell, Hannes Grossmann, Amogh Symphony and Nader Sadek, has been featured in various music-magazines around the globe and was the lead-guitarist for internationally-acclaimed band Obscura´s “Akroasis” album ( to which he also contributed the 15-minute epic “Weltseele”) and eclectic instrumental prog-fusion quartet “Pitts/Minnemann Project”. Barely in his 30s, he is already widely regarded as a “modern-day guitar legend”, thanks to his inimitable playing style and fearless use of the fretless guitar. He’s currently endorsed by Aristides Guitars, Steinberg Software, Loxx Products, Engl Amplification, Neural DSP Plug-ins, Deadweald Audio Engineering, MONO cases, Soultool Guitars, and GoodTone Pickups, from which “Fountainhead signature” guitar models and pick-ups are available. Since “Fear Is The Enemy” kickstarted a solo career in 2013, Tom has released several albums worth of enigmatic progressive but distinctly catchy material under the “Fountainhead” moniker, with a new album on the horizon for 2021. He also has 2 books about music, creativity and the psychology behind playing music under his belt and has established himself as sought-after mixing-and-mastering engineer with clients all over the world.
