Metal is listening to music at high volumes with your friends, and headbanging. Going to shows, and going in the pit. Playing metal with your friends. Watching metal music videos. Having the music soothe your angry, twisted soul. Laughing when you hear a riff, or drum fill that was over the top awesome.

KING 810 is the best Nu Metal band to come out of homicide filled Flint, Michigan, or the United States for that matter. They growl, scream, talk with a depressed voice. Man, I love King 810. DON'T DRINK THE WATER FLINT. I love Nu Metal, Rap Metal, I love all metal. I do not hate on any metal genres.

It aids in creating a recognisable brand. That being said attributing a bands success to their mascot is folly. Metal fans care about the music and Maiden would not be as successful were they not talented musicians. Of course these days they live off the brand...
