What I like about Killswitch engage and amon amarth is that they have good rhythm guitars that are not too edgy, thats the sound I like. Thanks for the suggestions

Just curious about some bands that maybe I've never heard before. I like the sound (guitars) of Killswitch Engage and Amon Amarth. What other bands do you think I might like? I've listened to Behemoth some but they tend to be a little fast for my taste. I know there are good bands out there that I've probably never heard before, never heard Amon Amarth until I got on satellite radio. Any suggestions?

Hello, Whitey here from middle Georgia. I'm no stranger to metal music but am new to playing guitar. Just bought an Epiphone Les Paul and Vox amp. I plan to put 10 guage strings on it( I think that's right ), and tune it to drop c. I am considering taking lessons for beginners at JamPlay.com as I am absolutely new to playing guitar. I want to learn metal rhythm and like bands such as Killswitch Engage and Amon Amarth. I am open to any suggestions or recommendations as I am completely new to guitars, thanks
