  1. Slipknot is the reason why I started listening to metal. I was only 12 years old when I saw "Duality" and I loved it. Of course I later realized they are not as metal as I first thought they were, and I don't like everything they made, but I will always love them,in a way, and they do have good songs and lyrics. I must admit I now prefer Corey Taylor's and Jim Root's other band, Stone Sour.

  2. I am now reading A song for Arbonne by Guy Gavriel Kay. I enjoy fantasy very much and it's mostly all I've been reading the past two years. But I also love Stephen King and classical novels (Dorian Gray is one of my favorite books). When I want to get away from fantasy, I read thrillers. I don't like SF. Those of you who read fantasy, have you read anything by Joe Abercrombie?

  3. You know there was this story that he is murdering chickens on concerts? Well I saw an interview where he explained how somebody from the crowd threw a chicken on the stage and he threw it back. he said something like: "I'm from Detroit, I though 'it's a bird, it has wings, it will fly', so I threw it back." :D The crowd ripped the poor chicken apart :/

  4. Italy has always had a strong black metal and doom metal scene as well, Necrodeath, Schizo, Mortuary Drape, Necromass, Bulldozer, Paul Chain, Black Hole, it's unfortunate that more Italian bands aren't more well known. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
I agree, I live in Italy (I'm studying there) and don't know many bands from there, other than Fleshgod and Lacuna Coil.
  5. Look for prog from the Italians - DGM' date=' Pathosray, Empyrios, Solid Vision, Mind Key, Ashent, Astra and Another Destiny all have at least some pretty solid material. They do much better tech-death too. Gory Blister, Sadist and Illogicist are all good, and Hour of Penance is insane.[/quote'] Interesting, I'll look them up :)
  6. Have you listened to something that's beneath the surface? :) I personally don't like hip hop that much, there is one artist that I care to listen to, and for a long time, I tough there was no talent and music knowledge required for hip hop. I don't feel that way anymore. It can not ever be compered to metal, that not an issue here, but there are those who put and effort in what their are doing and it sound much more like "music" than what Lil Wayn (or whatever his name is) does, and write lyrics that actually say something meaningful.

  7. When you start exploring a bit, you find out there is more to rap music than what we hear on the radio or mtv. Most of those "artist" that we are suffocated by suck, but there are those who actually do something good and have lyrics that don't talk about bitches and money. Like Tech N9ne. I like Tech n9ne. :)

  8. Interesting' date=' that's exactly what Agony sounded like to me, 'The Violation' should have been a model for all of the other songs but it wasn't for whatever reason.[/quote'] So true. The Violation made me happy because it showed Italians can do good metal. I hoped the rest of the album will have a similar sound.
  9. I don't have enough musical knowledge to describe it like you did, but that was exactly what I meant. And even though I like them, I agree that they can get boring after a while. But their albums are pretty short (at least the newer), so it doesn't get boring quickly :)

  10. Legs are horrifying! Especially when there are too many of them' date=' like six, or eight, and they're really hairy and they have joints all in the wrong spots. Ugh. Legs. (shudder)[/quote'] In that situation, all those legs usually come with a bug. Then the whole body is scary :P
  11. They have sweet, lovely song that I like to listen to while studying, but Liv could take some singing lessons. Aaaan (despite of my nickname) the only thing I ever liked about Atrocity is Liv's husband's hair :D

  12. Around 8 years ago, he had a concert in my town (Pula, in Croatia). So, some priest must have read in some foreign papers that there are "scandals" around Manson and that he is Satan in persona or something like that, so the church wanted to stop him from having a concert in our country. When that didn't work, the local churches organized a gathering for everyone who wanted to pray for the people who went to the concert and will therefore burn in hell for eternity. So while we were enjoying the show (I was 14 and I went with my father, it was the firs "metal" show I've seen), they were praying in the nearest church. I found that very funny ^^ Manson isn't really metal but I like his music. Not his newest work because it's a little...softy. But he does have good lyrics. And I always said he is an intelligent person.
