Things are kind of awkward between the gf and I right now. We're not really talking (despite staying together on the weekend due to those cycling races being about 2 hours away) and she's really not acting like her usual self. I can't help but wonder what has brought on this sudden change in disposition.

Maybe you could pick 2-3 people who are good in grammar and websites so you can do the proofreading and posting, while other gather material alongside you.

I would also be more comfortable with sending you my submissions. That way you can submit it when you check it. You have to consider that english is not my first language

Oh and when were you planning on starting the whole thing?

I really like the first idea, and really if anyone has local bands that have done something cool (there's a black metal band in my area called Helgardh that has an album out and have toured with Watain), feel free to arrange an interview and post it. I especially like the idea of supporting the underground, since this isn't about making money we have no reason to cater to what's popular. Translations would also be a neat idea. As far as submitting content, if we go with Wordpress it's super easy, I would give you a password to log in with, and writing and submitting something is practically as easy as writing a Word document.

A spotlight feature on up-and-coming local bands' date=' bringing over the 1001 Albums You Must Hear idea, I dunno maybe a band comparison thing could be interesting, highlighting the bands from a particular country/state/city that are worth hearing. Just a couple ideas I've had.[/quote'] Maybe once in a while we could recommend demo bends from our country that caught our attention, write a short biography and maybe put an interview, just a few basic questions. for example is some friend of yours starts a band and actually does something meaningful you can do a short interview. It would help them and bring some freshness among the existing stars This is just a thought but some bands sing in their native languages, maybe we could offer translations for certain songs, maybe the followers could suggest the song and if we have someone who knows the language he/she can offer an amature translation. Or, we could present bands we just discovered or are really fascinated with, for example have a section called something like "This week I can't stop listening to..." and write why you love them. Since I know nothing about managing websites, can someone explain how does that work? For example, if someone who knows nothing about websites writes something, what does he do with it, sends it to the admin?

Show reviews sound good! Oh and pictures! From shows, or internet, meet and greet, whatever. Interviews with bands would also be nice. I don't believe we can make our own interviews but if we read something interesting we can share it. I don't really know how that things work

I would like to see tour dates for Europe, America, Asia, all in one place, so it's easier to find out if someone's playing near you.

You should! And I too never liked singing around my mother because she was a voice teacher and very critical. Both my parents are profesionally trained singers and are perfectionist when it comes to singing and music. They kinda sucked the life out of enjoying anything really.

The easy part will be correcting your spelling and grammar mistakes. The hard part will be rewriting your posts so they actually mean what you think they mean.
