  1. yep u ozzies have it down, thats 4 sho. Soundgarden's album Badmotorfinger can put me in the mood for Cowboys From Hell or Vulgar - same producer, I think. And depending on how drunk you are, Mayhem and Swans can go really well together.
I remember I bought BMF as a kid and absolutely loved Outshined but couldn't get into the rest of the record. Keep meaning to dig it out and give it a listen.
  2. I remember being really excited as a kid when my parents had Christian books about how bad today's pop culture was and they had chapters on metal, claiming all metal bands hid backward messages in their songs telling kids to kill themselves (AS IF they would want all their CD and ticket buying loyal fans to die!!) and they all did deals with the devil to get fame. I'm open minded about the occult and do think some bands may have been involved with it, Zeppelin for instance. But to say Sabbath in the 70s had some secret plan to make all kids depressed to open their minds to the devil. Why do so many upbeat tracks then. One book was written by a nutcase who thought there was a group called "Def Jam" who had made all the albums on the Def Jam label like Slayer etc.

  3. I have some brilliant books of IQ puzzles like this but they are all back at my parent's house, grr. There is one I can think of. A frog is stuck in a well 10 feet tall. Each day he climbs 3 feet but falls back down 2, so he only makes 1 foot progress each day. How many days does it take him to reach the top? Spoiler -- the answer is 7, because he reaches the top then and gets out without having to slip down. (hope I remembered it right.)

  4. I bought Korn's III album the other day because I heard it was raw Korn like the first record, which I loved as a kid. Bus it seems a bit derivative. "the past" and "pop a pill" sound like Metallica's "suicide" and "broken and scarred", "move on" is Roots bloody Roots, lead the parade sounds like Slayer's piece by piece and the first track is Sabbath's children of the grave.
