  1. Not sure I can think of 5 right now but 2 that spring to mind would be: Manowar - Carry On Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills I always thought Run to the Hills was a bit weird because the upbeat melodies and chord changes were totally at odds with the subject matter of the Indians being destroyed. In fact, now that I think of it why don't we go ahead and add Invaders and Number of the Beast to the list for 'serious or dark subject matter allied to happy music' !
  2. Thanks for the reply. I think that's what I did. If it doesn't work it's no massive deal, I'll just keep checking back. Cheers
  3. I was on the Krispy Kreme website the other night and maaan..... I'm with you on the beer too.. real ale if it's available ! Sure, either send me a pm through here if you can or if you go the band site in my signature, there's a contact bit. If you let me have an address I'll bung a disc in the post. It'll only be a CDR as it was a digital released album but I'm sure that's not a prob. Which club is it ? I'm about 35/40 miles from Bizzle
  4. Btw, I'm gonna sound like a complete dufus but I've tried setting it so I get emails of thread replies but nothing as yet. What's the best way of doing it ?
  5. Excellent !! What's not to like about donuts ? Custard donuts are the tops for me
  6. Cheers Guys ! Yep, British invasion.. gotta even everything out
  7. Hi Guys, I found MetalForum through Twitter and here I am. I'm 27, been playing guitar since 10, been into metal since 10/11 when I first discovered an old tape of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son by Maiden. I live in the South West of England but no, I don't have a farmer accent ! I released my debut album last December. I formed what is now mainly a 1 man band in 2004. After experimenting with trying to make different line ups work I'm now working alone and collaborating with musicians around the world which is the best thing I ever did. You can get a load of that stuff here The Reckoning or here The Reckoning - YouTube I'm mainly a classic/old school metal fan; Megadeth, Metallica, Maiden, Priest.. but I was influenced also by bands like Opeth, Satyricon and their dissonant sounding arpeggiated chords etc - love it ! Look forward to chatting and meeting some cool people on here. Oh, and I like donuts.
