Re: AC/DC!!! Bon Scott was a legend - the man was a funny and clever dude - Brian Johnson never lived up - but they did some good stuff with him. AC DC gives you a lift, can't really knock them overall - though some individual songs are ropey.

I wasn't sure how commercially successful Anthrax had been in recent years - they seemed to jump record labels all the time and then went back to Belladona, cos they weren't cutting it moneywise, but perhaps that was relative to their previous success and still better than testament.

But to be fair I'd let a randy hog in a ginger wig shag dave mustaine to make him angry again or even shoot him full of smack (dave and the hog) - so I'm perhaps not the best person to be taking advice from.

Or get a vicious horny hog in a ginger wig on stage with Dave and let the hog do what comes naturally - that would certainly make Dave Angry Again.

Re: Best Replacement Singer? I'm quite partial to Low - though not a consistent album, dog faced gods is a corker. Don't think I can vote for any up there, X Factor makes me want to shoot something or claw some-ones eyes out, some of the repetition in Virtual has led to some quite violent incidents, which were quite traumatic for all in the vicinity. Back in black is a great hard rock album, but not really metal. I used to sing and play guitar at home for an audience of 4, I then changed the line up to me on guitar and my cat on lead vocals - so can my cat get voted for - we were better than the blaze on the x factor (except man on the edge)

Re: Best Metal Frontman? Its a serious problem - and not one to be mocked - my nails get really long and I need someone to clip them. The problem with the left side of my head goes back to a traumatic incident. Just feel more females at metal concerts would mean I'd take better care of my personal hygiene on a more regular basis. The band the Guinea Pig Poo Machines used to have guinea pigs on stage, if I haven't had a female friend round for a while, I start to smell like one of those pigs under the stage lights - now that was some weird shit. I wash when female friends come round - get one to cut my nails and another to wash my head.

Aren't most bands projecting an image - cannibal corpse, rob zombie...all metal- doesn't mean it doesn't have substance - this one just has big boobs - she's upfront that it's part of their appeal - but to my ears they're music holds up - not my favourite bad by a long shot, but they're good. We'll have to disagree on this one, but I feel you protest too much...

Re: Best Replacement Singer? If we're going under appreciated - what about Chuck Billy (Testament)- Steve Souza was out before they recorded an album (I think), but chuck was still a replacement. The Gathering is an awesome album. The band is also not given sufficient credit - easily should expand the Big 4 to the Big 5.

I wouldn't mind seeing more women involved in metal, but only if they're making actually contributions and are not there just to be a selling point for sweaty metal nerds.[/quote'] Perhaps fair point about the ginger pig, but take the wax out of your ears, the Huntress singer is a better singer than most blokes in metal and has a better range - she used to be an opera singer. Fair enough if you don't like her singing (each to their own), but to say she not a good singer is simply wrong unless you're tone deaf. Again attractiveness is in the eye of the beholder - some dudes just need to find their specks before looking.

My opinion is that we need more strong women in metal - metal is too much a sausage fest. More Huntress front type women(sings great, intelligent, and good looking) less fat Axl Rose (sings like a small rodent with a large finger inserted where the sun don't shine, empty headed, looks like a pig in a ginger wig). Not keen on Doro though- she's forgotten the 80's is over. More women or more pigs in ginger wigs? Which metal men would you remove and replace with metal women? Which men are tired washed up has beens? Can anyone make an argument for more pigs in ginger wigs? Or any other animal in a colourful wig? I'd be particularly interested in guinea pig related suggestions? Horns up

Re: Who do you really, really hate... The fat version of Axl Rose is pretty easy to dislike. Not keen on avenged sevenfold - spoilt posh boys playing at metal - bat country is a good song though. Watain take themselves way too seriously - need to crack a joke or two - Satan's got a sense of humour so they'd be fine to have a laugh now and again and lay off the pigs blood. I dislike people who say they hate metallica, but tap their foot along to their tunes secretly. I hate the right wing black metal fruit loops - Satan likes diversity - except he hates right wing black metal fruit loops - those dudes are going to be well toasted and most just had troubled backgrounds or were spoilt rich kids. Re: Hi everyone! Black sabbath had simplicity but their music had a lot of soul / heart - just working class blokes doing their thing. Relationships are tough and Ozzy new the score (and made a few himself). Have a good one. Deep purple were cool - Sabbath are the dark heart of metal though. Check out megadeth's version of paranoid - good stuff

Re: Worst drummer? John T Bloom from the Guinea Pig Poo Machine, couldn't keep time, the band sucked, the name sucked - they were named after small rodents - how lame is that? Guinea pigs who built a machine that ran on their own faeces - that's just wrong on so many levels - they are meant to eat it, not build machines with it. It's like skynet all over again.
