innominate have you seen the dark side of the ring chris benoit documentary at all. very compelling and watchable. very long but goes by so quick. definitely an interesting case. very memorable for all the wrong reasons. i was a fan of chris benoit back in the day but obviously murdering his wife and son did put me off and still does a bit. the concussions may very well played a big part so maybe benoit was not complete monster.

I have not. But thanks for reminding me, it was something that I've meant to get around to watching. Any episodes that you'd recommend to start out on, or should I just begin at the beginning?

My main disappointment with the new CC is that with Erik Rutan in the ranks now I have higher expectations somehow, like he was going to bring something exciting to the table but beyond Inhumane Harvest and Cerements of the Flayed I just have nothing to bring me back.

Would have been different to have a progressive Cannibal Corpse album, eh?

That makes sense, I think it sounds like Mpire of Evil more than anything sometimes remind me of the prime evil album, and I find Cronos Venom to be a bit of a poor imitation but i’ll have to give more a listen. Also I wouldnt mind another classic venom lineup album I liked Cast In Stone to be fair

Yeah, it does. Reminds me of some of the stuff from Temples of Ice too. Cronos' Venom has been kind of inconsistent, but Fallen Angels has some good tracks on it. I don't remember much from From the Very Depths though. I love Cast in Stone.

That’s awesome!! Would have loved to have met Jeff, they are much better than Cronos “Venom” in my opinion, you heard their Venom Inc. Album Ave?

It was an awesome show, Tony sounded ferocious live too. And Jeff stood around and smoked cigarettes with the rest of us bums before they went on lol I like Ave, I've listened to it all the way through a few times. I think it kind of keeps in line with Venom's other albums with Tony, and M-Pire to a certain extent. Need to listen to it more. But I still like Cronos' Venom, I think he has a great band with him and I really enjoy Storm the Gates. Maybe not "Dark Night (Of the Soul)" so much, but the rest of it is fantastic IMO. It impresses me that they've all been around for so long and are still going. I'd love for there to be another Venom album with the classic line-up, but that seems unlikely at this point.

Today I went to the bookstore and picked up The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells and Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein. I've been on classic sci-fi kick since reading Brave New World. Not like a I really need to be adding anymore books to my list...

Nice. I picked up an H.G. Wells anthology here lately, but have yet to really dig into it. It is indeed very easy to build up a backlog with books.

Never ever judge anything by looks alone alone because if you do your often miss out on some great things. I bet if I showed the October rust album cover to people who had never head a Type O Negative song before I bet most if not all would never guess it was a gothic metal album.

I never saw it before and I never would of guessed it was a gothic metal album. Except for the rose thorns and dark camera filter... and the fact the band's name is a reference to blood and the album title is the words "October" and "Rust" put together.
