I'm 27 at the moment. Not young anymore, but far from old yet

The first album I bought was Brave New World by Iron Maiden. It was new, and I bought it because I liked the artwork and had heard that they were a popular metal band. I was truly blown away by the music - the melodies, the epic choruses, the scale of the songs... To this day it's one of ym favourite albums - I have very fond memories of it.

Evening all! I'm Jess, 27 and living in Ireland. I've been a fan of rock and metal for most of my life - as a kid I grew up listening to Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, and I eventually discovered slome kinda heavier stuff like Pantera, Korn, Paradise Lost, Marilyn Manson.y. From there on I discovered more modern bands like Trivium, Devin Townsend, Killswitch Engage, Meshuggah, Benighted... So I'm into quite a variety of metal genres. I'm currently in college again to get a qualification of some sort, becuase I'm sick of working in bars and tattoo parlours. The type bands I'm currently into are Tool, Isis, and Deftones...dark, heavy and melodic, preferably with clean vocals, but I still love some proper death and black metal now and again.
