Hello world,
My name is Dyka (pronounced deeka) and I'm originally from Indonesia. I'm turning 19 next month. I currently live in the state of Maryland, studying chemical engineering (currently a sophomore). I play the guitar on and off and I'm pretty awful haha. I listen to many genres of music like some blues, hip hop, some electronics, but Metal is definitely my favorite. Recently I've been listening to a lot of Progressive Metal music such as Periphery, Tesseract, Animals as Leaders etc. I would enjoy Metalcore/Hardcore from time to time (the new Bring Me The Horizon record sounds awesome IMHO). I really like the older stuff too, like the Big 4, Iron Maiden etc. Some of the most memorable concerts I've ever attended are Lamb of God's and Machine Head's.
Hopefully I will find some time to post more on this site. From what I've experienced many metal-heads are very hateful towards each other and can be very self-righteous when others may have different opinions on music. I found that to be very ridiculous and I could rant all day about it. I believe we have to respect each other very well and be respectful. Concentrate on loving what you love to hear instead of being hateful (don't go on YouTube and comment things like "well the dislikers of this band I really like are Justin Bieber's fans". It's childish and ridiculous).
