  2. Thanks!

Hello big hairy metal chap lol i'm Tash from Australia but moving to England in june. Might have to come and check out a gig when i get over there \m/
My girlfriend is currently out in Australia, she keeps sending me pictures of the humongous fucking spiders you guys get out there! You'll have to let us know when you're UK bound!
  3. Its very simple to understand Meshuggah's greatness. They managed to create music without any real melody that still has a hook. Its mechanical, relentless and in some ways utterly primitive. I love Meshuggah, I think they may be one of my favourite bands. There are a ton of sub genre labels you could plaster them with, but ultimately they are their own thing totally. A load of people try to imitate them, but they don't succeed. Demiurge, Future Breed Machine and Dances to a Discordant System are all songs I would highly recommend.

  4. Live albums don't take alot of effort to make and they only feature songs that a true fan would have anyway. However people who were at certain concerts that were featured on the album can say that they were there (In personal terms you can hear me shouting on dragonForce's Twilight Dimentia album on the song StarFire) So whats your opinion should we buy live albums or not. I own (in terms of Metal) two live albums. DragonForce's Twilight Dementia and Sonata Arctica's Song's of Silence. I am very much for them but think that they should be redused to as low a price as possible
I'm pretty sure a fair amount of work goes into a live album. Admittedly the songs are already written but from an engineering point of view there would be cost's. As for making them lower in price, I can certainly see your point. It depends on the band and how much of a different vibe they get live. Clutch make awesome live albums and Alice In Chains Unplugged is amazing IMO.
  5. Sorry, wasn't sure where to put this. For me: At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul. Blut Aus Nerd and I were discussing this in a different thread. The Red in the Sky is Ours is fantastic, but I have never understood the mass appeal of this album. Bathory - Hammerheart. I love the first four Bathory albums, and I understand that this one was massively influential, but I've never liked it.
Madness!!! That album was amazing IMO! I'd say Death Magnetic. A lot of people hailed it as the triumphant return of Metallica and for me it really really wasn't.
