Re: Devin Townsend I'm going to play devil's advocate a little... I'm really not sure how I feel about Devin Townsend. I think it's unquestionable that he is a very talented guitar player and vocalist, but I'll admit that I find his chord choices or other musical choices (rhythmic, melodic, etc.) to be very out of the ordinary - so much that it's occasionally unpleasant because it's so close to what I want to hear, but not quite. Can anyone else relate? And for the record I'm not bashing him... I continue to follow him closely. I just have a somewhat love - hate relationship with his music

Re: Who are your current top 5 bands? Tough because I listen to things other than metal... but top 5 metal are 1) BTBAM 2) Opeth (and side projects) 3) Dream Theater 4) Periphery 5) Porcupine Tree (I suppose it's questionable whether or not this is metal... but I'm going to include it anyway)

Re: dream theater I've always been a big D.T. fan... Their work over the last couple albums impresses me but I feel like the pinnacle of their career was around "scenes from a memory" era. I hope they can recapture that kind of artistry with their upcoming albums.
