Re: Are YOU into weird Death Metal? Actually, what I noticed about "To Suffocate" is that the riffs just kept getting weirder as the song progressed, more akin to what I'd expect of someone with your preferences. Once again, really good stuff man.

Re: Are YOU into weird Death Metal? Hey sorry for taking so long to reply. Ulcerate is not at all like Mitochondria. The only similarity is that they both play atmospheric/weird death metal, but their writing styles are vastly different. Imagine Demilich with a bit of shoegaze thrown in and way more technicality and you've got Ulcerate. Dude, your band is really, really good. Why didn't you promote!?!? What instrument do you play in the band. The production is just pristine, with great performances and cool riffs. The vocals are powerful and the music is nice and melancholic. Not what I'd expect though, from someone of your tastes. The demo is 5 bucks, by the way. Lemme know if you'd like a copy of drudge burnt to CD as well. Oh, and murph1990, thanks a lot for the kind words and the post on facebook if you did that.

Re: Are YOU into weird Death Metal? Oh man, you know what's up! You nailed my taste in Death Metal spot on. I only hadn't heard of Pan.Thy.Monium and Cadaver. I'm liking what I hear so far. Strange/different Death Metal is a rare breed, and you pretty much named all my favorites. Check this out though... Some Icelandic Death Metal. \m/ It's especially hard to find good modern stuff. Ulcerate is incredible though. So is Blut Aus Nord, actually. You don't happen to be in the band, do you?!
