i started off lovig Vinnie P Abbot with Pantera. Now i like his style with accents of Chris Adler. I also love Bloodbaths drummer, Amon amarths drumming also does it for me with the slower more down beat tunes.

Deathcore....lmfao....popcore "n" morelike....i cant STAND all that emo hair thing that they have going on....it seems to be more about the look and the sluts u can shag than the music....ill be honest and say a few of their heviest tunes i didnt actually mind....but they still dont get a spot in my music collection.

Heaven shall burn are a great band. like some of the others u have posted there too... welcome dude and enjoy! \m/

they where good i heard phil and vinne are going to mend fences well see what happens from there maybe a semit reunion with vinne rex and phil with zakk only a rumor though

doubt it apparently in rex's book hes not up for anything like a reunion and metal hammer said that Phil says his door is open but vinne isnt walking through it even though he has not said anything as yet. I'm not sure if a reunion would be a good thing tbh, Pantera without Dime just isnt worth it. Id still enjoying seeing that tho..

my favorite album is evisceration plague. its the album i own by them and the only album that i love all of the songs. i also have the dvd "the making of evisceration plague".

agreed, by far my fave album by them followed by Kill. good band and do enjoy listening to them, but seen the live vids and the vocal seems to be different and he doesnt pronounce the words as well as he does on the records which i think is a shame as for me it takes the power out of it a little.

yeah i heard that thru a mate, very good album indeed. I grew up listening to Pantera and worshipped them till after dime's death. I had tickets to "tattoo the planet" in brum to go see them and slayer but then some twat threw two planes into some buildings and they went straight home again, i was totally gutted as that was the last chance i would get to see them in the uk. I used to watch the vids while having some beers and thought god damn man that what i want to do. I guess its what made me become a drummer in a metal band and i thank them for that! my taste is much more extreme now but i always keep my pantera cd's at hand! i had a few beers the other week and stuck domination live in moscow on and man that brought back some memories and it felt awesome. Amazing band, amazing times. \m/

Dont get me wrong folks im not a total tard...i understand the basic genre's of like thrash, hair, death, doom and black etc etc... I understand that death metal is about down tuned guitars (generally two of them) blast beat and beat changes randomly, deep growled vocals etc... and i get the other main genres too, Its just all this core after the words metal or death...bloomin rubbish if u ask me... in the end i agree with what some folk are saying, in the respect that i also love death metal but then dont like all death metal bands, i am really picky when it comes to music and i can tell instantly if im gunna like something or not. It's most likely me thats getting to be an old trump....but omfg how many genre's do there really need to be. I see folk chatting about it on here and its bloody irritating to say the least... Do we all actually know what every genre is and why it is what it is? does someone play a little more blast beats and shredding at speed to make it death core or summat? ahhhhh!!!!! lol what makes death core different to death metal? is it that deathcore do all these modern breakdown and stop beats etc? chuff knows..... discuss! and yes im old stupid and a metal retard....probly all the years of moshing....

dimmu could be described as black, symphonic metal...apparently thats what they say they are....but death metal they are not. what ever everyone thinks they are i know they rock my ass off.

my fave death metal bands are, bloodbath, cannibal corpse, Kataklysm, Decapitated, thy art is murder, Man must die, Aborted, Septic Flesh, Amon Amarth and Vader....off the top of me head!

i would describe lamb of god as Groove metal....although the band them selves have described their music in many genres, Metalcore has not passed their lips.

One Of My Fave Bands!

I Love Dimmu Borgir but have a very "tunnel visioned" taste when it comes to black metal.... Dimmu are one of my fave bands ever but i cannot stand Cradle of filth.....so....
