“Welcome to the “Welcome to the world of Valk! We are a Power Metal band passionate about creating music that takes listeners on an epic and emotional journey.”
Our story begins in the second half of 2018 when Samuel Nobre, guitarist, singer, and project leader, decides to bring together people who cultivate a love for Metal. During this period, the band was called Valknut, encompassing the dreams of music enthusiasts. After months of searching and rehearsing as a trio, in the second half of 2019, Valknut finally finds its definitive bassist and backing vocalist, Lucas Yoshiyuki. During this time, the band performed at festivals and events, paying tribute to Iron Maiden and Classic Rock.
Towards the end of 2019, drummer Taiguara Milhomem joins the band, enabling the band to expand its repertoire by incorporating classics of Metal and Power Metal. After the first rehearsal with the new drummer, the band understood that was the path they should follow and that the dream might not be so far away! In February of the same year, after a lengthy meeting, the band decides to start the process of composing original songs while maintaining the emerging mystical identity in order to project themselves onto the global market. In February 2020, they make the decision to change the name to Valk. From that moment on, the band embarked on the journey of finding a frontman, and after several interviews, Luiz Júnior takes on the vocals in April 2020.
When we created Valk, we knew that we would encounter difficulties and winding paths, but we were not prepared for the pandemic, which arrived just when we had consolidated our lineup. The quarantine period was essential for us to come together, and the next two years were crucial for Valk to take shape. Inspired by legends, we wholeheartedly immersed ourselves in the world of Power Metal. We developed a sound that combines powerful riffs, virtuosic solos, and captivating melodies, all to create a unique musical experience.
We are excited to announce the release of our first single, "Desperate Loneliness." This song is a reflection of our passion for music and explores emotional themes, bringing an intense energy that we hope you can feel.
Furthermore, get ready for the release of our first EP, titled 'Martyr', which will be available to you in July 2023. This EP is a collection of powerful and intense songs that will transport you to an epic and intense universe. Valkaria IS COMING!
