Hello , my name is Diarmuid O ' Brien, I am from Ierland, based in Limerick city, grew up in Dublin listening to all kinds of music ,ie; new wave of British heavy metal, rock( Gary Moore Thin Lizzy, Def leopard, Maiden etc.) I have played all kinds of music and I am currently looking to join a working or at least part-time working band and your ad. Interests me as I do like Def leopard and I would enjoy playing that style of music. I have four decent makes of guitar, Squire stratocaster, Eliphone Les Paul (tabacco, sunburst), Flying V( Dean/ Jackson style copy and a nice maple top honeyburst Les Paul copy. I also sing( actually I sang quite a bit for bands in school before becoming competent at electric guitar, so I could do backing vocals also.) I am familiar with Def leopard 's album hysteria mostley but I could learn most of their material I would guess just some rehearing or to gauge me at an audition ? I am also interested in the suggestion of collaborative songwriting as I am interested in new ideas and I have some songs, instrumental music and riffs of my own composed. I have experience playing live at small venues in Dublin and later abroad at Folk festivals and traditional session music at different venues in Ireland.
