Very cool stuff, I love the classic maiden vibe here from your music. I really dig "knights of the round" of all the tracks so far I think, although they all are quality. Your guitar playing is excellent across the board 🤘 As for the vst drums some suggestions for a bit more of a hard hitting sound you could look into MT power drumkit2: www.powerdrumkit.com which is a free program. I use this one personally and I think it sounds solid for a free program. If you have the money, you'll get more out of toontrack ezdrummer2 which I've used in the past as a demo version. It has nice sound and has metal expansion packs you can get. Keep em coming 👍

Really appreciate the comment 🤘 glad you like it. I 100% agree on the tone issues, it's something Im working on. I use a line6 toneport for these recordings and am using a 5150 amp which I think gives the best metal tone for this type of music that's available to me. I've tried adding presence and mids to try and give it that quality but it makes the recordings a bit more unclean than they already are lol so the solution is a bit tricky but I'll keep working on it. Im working on another song that I'll be posting before long that I've tried adding more emphasis on the rythem and bass sound so I think it helps a little with the fullness aspect that's missing from these 3 recordings

Hey everyone, this is my first post here! I am hoping to get some feedback from fellow metalheads about my original music. This song is probably the one I am happiest with so far, but still a ways off from the right sound. It's hard for me to be unbiased on my own music so I would love it if I could get some feedback: Listen to In Astral Discourse by Andrew W on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/EHZbQ For those who want some background info: I recorded the guitars and bass but the drums were built using a VST program. The song is kind of a take on an energetic style of Melodic death metal music. The major influences for this song would be in the style of colony/clayman era in flames and some newer metalcore style music sort of on the vain of trivium only not as technical.
