  1. I've been listening to metal for about 13 years now, and I've burned out on bands or even genres from time to time, but the interest always remained in the end. The biggest thing is learning to discover bands for yourself on a regular basis. If you don't do this, you burn out on old material. Try new bands similar to other bands you like, or even try new sub genres. I haven't never really needed to leave the metal scene to find stuff i like.

  2. Anette is like 10 times hotter
Man i find Tarja quite attractive compared to the other two. High cheekbones are sexy as. She's not amazing by any means, but i'm not sure how on Earth you find Anette attractive at all! On topic - Tarja Nightwish: I don't mind some later material, but it's mainly a song here or there. Floor is definitely a huge improvement though!
  3. I think Bruce coming back really hurt the band' date=' they don't know which direction to head in anymore and it's resulted in largely lacklustre albums, perhaps they should have just ended Maiden when he left in the first place, AMOLAD is a good album but it's not worth seeing one of my favourite bands completely destroy their credibility[/quote'] I agree a little, but they were already on the downfall on the last two albums (FOTD and NPFTD) with him there anyway after Adrian Smith left (as he helped write a lot of the better material). Those albums became successful through hit songs more than being greats in the collection. However, they made a comeback with BNW and DOD imo. AMOLAD was decent, but i never really got into it as it's where i really noticed Bruce's vocals to be suffering in the studio. They still are amazing live though! So i'm glad they kept going! On topic - definitely Di'anno over Blaze. Blaze is just downright not suited to Maiden. Di'anno worked perfectly with the first albums, better than Bruce would have even imo.
  4. Yeah man, i've always found Edenbridge a stand out band in the Symphonic Metal scene due to their great progressive guitar work and pleasant atmosphere.Yeah Wuthering Heights are one of the better Power Metal bands for me. That album is definitely their best. Communic's first album is easily my favourite, especially the last two songs. I still like their later work too.Yeah i have a wide taste in Metal now. I mainly listen to Doom, Black and Death these days, but still come back to old classics when i get that itch.

  5. Hey, fellow metalheads. I'm 30, Australian and love metal. Looking to meet some new people into metal as my life is devoid of metal friends (since coming out of a long term relationship with my ex who also loved metal). I love going to gigs, but sadly we get shit all here in Australia. I did go to Hellfest in France this year which was amazing! I'm into a wide range of metal, here is a list of my favourite bands: Edenbridge, Therion, Iced Earth, Primordial, Agalloch, Isole, Pallbearer, Warning, Decapitated, Nile, Moonsorrow, Blind Guardian, Septicflesh, Dissection, Gallowbraid, Astriaal, Iron Maiden, Wuthering Heights, Opera IX, Necrophagist, Lost Horizon, 40 Watt Sun, Nightwish, Ensiferum, Tristania, Haggard, Draconian, Lord Belial, Enslaved, Arcturus, Manilla Road, Jag Panzer, Kamelot, Vreid, Windir, Quo Vadis, Rotting Christ, Death, The Ruins Of Beverast, King Diamond, Immortal, Ayreon, Symphony X, Gamma Ray, Jethro Tull, Wintersun, Communic, Ozzy Osbourne, Ancient Rites, Opeth, Falconer, Thin Lizzy, Einherjer, Stratovarius, Summoning, Eluveitie, Dragonland, Be'lakor, Avatarium, Caladan Brood, Epica, Angra, Black Majesty, Age Of Taurus, Doom:VS, Alcest, Dordeduh, Equilibrium
