  1. Most of you get me wrong and assume I've said things I didn't. Read it again before posting and in case I get banned for using the n-word (really... None of you ever heard of that word before? Only hip hoppers are allowed to say it?), enjoy your little victory. Tell yourself you won an argument.

  2. I said it's probably not the vocalist indeed who names themselves like that. Yes, there are fewer females in metal. That's not a reason to keep using this term, you can actually also just be cool about it... Have you ever heard of people using the term "mexican fronted metal bands"? My favorite band in that "genre" is Slayer. There are fewer mexicans in the metal community and the vocals are impressive as well. What about gay fronted metal bands? Nigger fronted metal bands? Or what about left handed fronted metal bands? And once again, it's not the decision of the vocalist probably. It's the label and fans more likely.

  3. Next show: fridaynight Cliteater (goregrind) and Korpse (slam death metal). Great bands and really looking forward to see Korpse. Never seen them before. (new band too, they just released their debut album) Saturday night a birthday party of a few friends of mine. It's held in a pub with a 'beer and tits' theme. Must be good.

  4. I am so terribly sorry' date=' I didn't realize how cool, mature and better than us all you actually are![/quote'] I know it's sarcasm, but those are your words. No, they send demos and play gigs rather than calling themselves "female fronted metal band" to make sure they win easily hundreds of teenage girls. Eventhough I hate most of the mainstream metal fans, this topic is about "female fronted metal bands", which isn't even a genre, it's just a tag for girls to find their new idols easily. That's my problem. I'm sure some of the vocalists are actually really cool metalheads but the big labels like Roadrunner records (I believe) turns them into pop idols with a background band. And yes, it's very nice for them to make big money and all the girls screaming in the front row. But yes, I disrespect them for selling out.
  5. Girls in metal are cool, but they don't need to brag about it like it's a huge and impressive thing. Agoraphobic Nosebleed don't call themselve 'femalre fronted metal band' just because they have a female vocalist. And guys wearing make up happens probably with 'your' metal bands. That's just a matter of taste I suppose.

  6. It's also one of the few times in his life that he hasn't been full of shit.
Being a member of Megadave and a Jebus lover, that's a great accomplishment. Though, he shouldn't negatively to a genre like GLAM when he creates thrash metal without balls. He should have stayed in Metallica and joined Burton.
  7. 'They' are the fans (who refer the bands as female fronted metal bands) and record labels (who do that as well. I don't know about the bands because they don't have a lot of saying about the biography on their sites. 'Why do they say that?' Most likely because every girl who reads anything about a 'female fronted metal band' knows they should listen to it. Also some guys as well though. But somehow people think it's suddenly impressive if a girl does thesame thing as a guy does. And yes, maybe it's wrong to disrespect all those female vocalists right away, it's probably the record labels who makes them look like pop stars. (being in front of the every band photo etc.) I'm sure some of them are actually educated musicians who are not just in it for the money or getting laid by dudes with long hair. And yes, I'm attacking the idea of any "blablabla fronted metal bands". Coroner is knows for their excellent guitar riffs. Has there ever been a retard to call them male-guitarist-fronted-metal-band? I'm sure those feminists will call that sexist to refer a genre to a male.

  8. Still haven't voted. Frontman?!? You mean vocalist! For instance, Tom Araya... Not the big man behind Slayer. Jeff Hannaman wrote most of the amazing stuff and Kerry King did some of it too. Tom didn't even record all the bass lines on the albums himselves... King and Hannaman seems to have done some of it as well. (so I've heard on Slayer Saves)

  9. Quoting myself seems sufficient.

The fact they say that the female is the most important member of the band is very unmetal. Metal is about the music and not about the looks of the female vocalist like in pop music. (nightwish' date=' within temptation, epica, bands like that.)[/quote']
  10. I've been to Rotting Christ a while back when I won tickets and it was actually pretty good!

I'm from Patras brother ' date=' hope you enjoyed your visit in Greece.[/quote'] It was really nice. After 5 minutes of arrivel there, a pigeon shat on my friend's shirt. Priceless!
  11. Perhaps I should start a thread about Michael Jackson being a founding father of the black metal image. Pale' date=' skinny, leather with metal, chains, and singing about dead people and wearing corpse makeup in the thriller video.[/quote'] I think that was supposed to be a secret dude!
