The problem is that fans of only A7X and the like sap the vitality of the art by trying to cash in on the badass rebel image and ultimately failing because they are every bit as shallow and commercial as the pop and rap fans they claim to hate. People then understandably get the impression that metalheads are simply lying to the world about what they feel and are ultimately' date=' in the final analysis, a bunch of lonely, whiny white boys who don't get laid enough.[/quote'] This is exactly what pisses me off. I generally don't care what other people listen to, it's the image I hate. I know people who wear band shirts, even if it's only A7X or Slipknot but have no clue about the actual band. I have no problem with whatever people want to listen to if the music means something to them, no matter what I think, but when these shallow 'fans' claim to be metalheads because they have a fucking t-shirt..... ahhh

Definitely Metal Hammer. Usually something worth reading in there whereas to find something decent in Kerrang is a bloody miracle

Mostly classic but there are a few other bands I've been getting into, Opeth, Marionette, Rammstein etc. I'm pretty open minded though and I'll give most things a listen

Doctor Who, Potter and Paloma Faith would be my guilty pleasures I'm afraid
