  1. Love Amon Amarth \m/ twilight of the thungergod is one of their best albums. Love Wrath of The Norseman and Rise of Surtur though. My favorite song would certainly have to be Guardians of Asgaard (one of their most popular hah)

  2. Chain Guillotine Laceration looking for a brutal drummer! Our home is Southern California currently we're working on an E.P. to be released around the spring time. We are a band that plays a few different types of metal and we aren't restricted really to one subgenre. Some songs are melodic deathmetal, some songs have more of a blackmetal sound with symphonic keyboarding implemented, some are very thrash metal oriented with very fast paced playing and standard tuning while others are tuned to Drop C and Drop A. We currently have myself (the lead vocalist and lead guitarist), a bassist, and another vocalist. We need a drummer to complete our line-up! Maybe a second bassist and guitarist eventually. I also play the didgeridoo in a song or two (we implement weird inventive shit to make it sound very eerie and cool). We prefer you have experience with metal, double bass etc.etc and we prefer you live in SoCal because we cannot really provide transportation due to financial restrictions. email auditions to: [email protected]

  3. Thread for the band 'Ouroboros' EXCELLENT melodic deathmetal band from Australia. Give em a try! I recommend the song Lashing Of The Flames. 3:05 into the song there's a classical nylon guitar spot that is simply hypnotizing, then all of a sudden BURSTS back into an incredibly epic, heavy metal riff. Every song on the album "Glorification of a Myth" is genius! Any other Ouroboros fans out there?(:

  4. World of Warcraft, Garrys Mod, Counter Strike: Source Play all three when i'm bored as shit. But WoW has become more of a routine for me than the others, it's a really great game.

  5. Welcome to the forum! Here's a list of my all time favorites: Visceral Disgorge Disfiguring The Goddess Defilement Skeletonwitch Necrophagist Beheaded Lazarus A.D. Ouroboros (A definite must!) Wintersun (if you're more into folk metal) Eluveitie and Amon Amarth (also both folk metal) Entombed All That Remains (if you're into new wave metal/heavy metal) and if you don't already know 'em, CANNIBAL CORPSE!! (:

  6. Thing is you NEVER know when you really are going to die. Could literally die in 2 minutes. Important not to really focus on it too much, but i have hope that i'll go out in an epic, legendary way that will be known by many. A tale told by bards all across the globe in music and in poetry. Like the tale i just told haha (:

  7. A giant beast with three heads and a massive axe bursts out of the ground in my city. The world realizes there has been mythological beasts all along and this one has awakened as this city has been built over it's resting place for millions of years. Now it has risen and threatens our existence. I charge at it with all the bravery i can summon, carrying two blacksmith crafted claymore swords and a shield upon my back, after a lengthy battle of my mostly dodging it's blows of destructive force, i finally climb him using my swords as grappling hooks, stabbing to him to reach further and further up where he cannot reach me. I reach his head and stab both swords into the crevice of his neck, he grabs me and throws me off and as i'm sailing through the air to my death waiting to anxiously below, i watch him fall to the ground. Defeated. \m/

  8. not a very popular band but probably some of the best death metal i've heard. Must have listened to their album Ingesting Putritidy at least 300 times now! I'd post a link to a youtube video but i'm on a restricted network. Check 'em out you guys! Definitely worth a listen. Cheers \m/ Any other Visceral Disgorge fans here?

  9. The thing is, illegal downloaders aren't true fans. The true fans of these bands go and buy their albums whether it be off itunes or at a record store. And every band has their true fans that buy their music because they know without buying their music, these bands wouldn't be able to stay alive. I don't think metal will ever die. There are just too many millions of true fans out there that support every band that enters the scene if they're worth it!

  10. Not sure how they "started a revolution", as they were far from the first death metal band. There are talented musicians in the band (especially Alex Webster), but the songwriting is boring and their riffs only do something for me in small doses. They seemed nice in person, but were very dull live. Some people like them, but I'm not one of them. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
They started a revolution for Death Metal bands to come out of their shell with brutality, especially back in the day. You know they led the charge for many underground DM bands! They just really never gave a fuck and that's what counted and people noticed was so unique about 'em. Oh, definitely. All of them are very talented whether it be instrumentally or creatively they all contribute vastly. Most of 'em can compose an entire song in their heads including all instruments according to interviews. They don't move around a lot on stage but if you'll refer to extensive interviews with George you'd know that their philosophy about stage presence is that it's kind of bullshit and that they're there to play the music and have you listening to it live and raw and experience their music in that sense. So they may be just windmilling and headbanging on stage but that's because they don't want you to notice them, they want you to notice the music. Now i don't totally agree because i certainly believe stage presence is part of a live performance but i can see where they come from! The lyrics/songwriting is angry and that's the point of it xD it's fuckin brutal! You really gotta read those lyrics man! They're awesome. The song Pit Of Zombies for example? It's fuckin gold! you can't look at it from such a cynical, serious point of view. They explain all the time that their music isn't to be taken seriously, it's all anger release and fun and horror movie/story depictions. Overall, if you think about it, they really are a quality band.
  11. ^Don't listen to this cretin xD listen to what you love. Cannibal Corpse? Best death metal band, imo. They started a revolution in metal music and that's something not many bands can do if any. I love every single one of their albums! Very quality band and the members are very down to earth fan-based people. Love the band with a passion hope i can meet em some day!
