Suffocation, mid-era Behemoth, mid-era Nile, Immolation, Cannibal Corpse, Latter Unleashed, Incantation, Akercocke, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth, Beheaded, Hour of Penance, Early Death, Morbid Angel, Septicflesh, Nocturnus, Brutality, nothing too spectacular. USDM has and always will be my favorite scene

  2. In Battle there is no Law, and Realm of Chaos are both great albums. Not much else to say about them other than they're heavy, fast, and their running time allows them to not run themselves into being totally unmemorable. Quality stuff.

  4. Morbid Angel > Suffocation > Most of the other bands. In terms of sheer influence Morbid Angel more or less was the most influential dm band, most bands owe their existence to them, but Suffo is likely the most relevant bands having more or less inspired brutal death metal, deathcore, and technical death metal (along with latter-era Death).
