Greetings from the actual land of kangaroos.

I will be up in Austria though in April next year!  Vienna is one of my favourite places in the world and I am also visiting Salzburg for first time.

    Good luck with the album.

Are you landing in Vienna? Ticket price must be enormous to travel on the other side of the earth. If you could dig a tunnel through the center of the earth would be closer :)

There are actually even Metaller German Bands like Eisbrecher which just don't get exported to non-German countries as much. By the way, if you like Rammstein please check out the band that inspired them by the way, Laibach, which actually despite singing in German is Slovenian.

Laibach are great, another Slovenian band that maybe some will like is Noctiferia or Within Destruction. Maybe Elvis Jackson.

    Big up for Slovenija 🥰

  3. I was away for over a month now and I have a lot of catching up to do, can't wait since there is not a lot of work today in the office :)

Was away because of diabetes, almost went blind, but now it's all getting better since I started to live healthier :)

I never watched what I ate or drink and I guess it just builds up. Now I am on a diet and feel great, I have a goal to drink only on concerts and festivals so cannot wait for Vienna Metal Meeting in October :)

I don't know if their line-up has changed any since I saw them right after Outer Isolation released, but they put on a decent show. VERY young guys though. They looked like kids to my eyes, but they know their instruments well enough and they've got that infectious energy that I imagine was so contagious on the West coast Bay Area of the U.S. in the early eighties. Something like early Exodus shows without sounding anything like Exodus. I was actually pretty surprised to see how much hate these guys have gathered online by some very entrenched internet addicted metalheads. Apparently their early popularity really irritated some folks.

I see they have a new bassist and drummer since 2020 so you saw them in different line-up. Do you remember why the hate? I know some bands that started playing live shows when the members were relatively young and some of older metalheads thought that their music is not good just because they were young :)

I didn't think jaywalking was an actual crime!  That must have been one bored cop.

If the crosswalk is less than 100 meters away you can get fined because of jaywalking and on my way to school there were two crosswalks around 150 meters apart and the path we usually took was right in the middle so it was easier for us just to run across. They stopped me twice. Once it was an older cop that went on to what kind of clothes I'm wearing etc and the second time a guy around 35 years that had a younger, cute, female apprentice so he just wanted to show me who is the sheriff in town :)

Cops in Slovenija are really nice and I think they are fair when you are being respectful to them but from time to time you get some frustrated idiot who wants to make his day ruining yours :)

  6. Attended Slipknot concert during the weekend in Munich. I really enjoyed their 2nd and 3rd album but I think it was the last time seeing them for me at least for a couple of years :)

The scenery was really great, it was the place where Hitler held his speeches. I would be happy if there would be no telephones allowed to the show, you had a hard time seeing to the stage because of IT :(

  7. I had to go to the court because of jaywalking when I was still in high school and the judge said he doesn't have time for this kind of things and said I can leave. I had my drivers license taken away because I was drunk when driving. I had to move a car for morning deliveries and I wanted to move the car 50 meters away. As soon as I started a car the cops knocked on the window and told me to exit the vehicle. I didn't even feel drunk but I drank double whiskey just before sitting in a car.

Got finned a bit of money and had to attend some seminars where we mostly discussed how to drink and avoid cops.

I don't drink and drive since.

Also, western capitalists did not cause the war in Ukraine. Putin the psychotic despot is solely responsible.

We have a saying NE DIRAJ LAVA DOK SPAVA, translating : don't poke the lion while he sleeps. I personally think that Putin is not the only one to blame for the war and that many people very relieved when it started.

Maybe because of my geographical location or history or I don't know what but I think that USA somehow had a really big part in the start of the war :)

I'll never understand how seasons can start at different times in different countries in the same hemisphere. Officially we're still nearly a month away from the first day of summer here in the states. June 21st, which will be either the last day or the next to last day of 3rd grade for the kid.

Maybe I wrote that wrong, start of summer is also on 21st of June but the first day of summer weather (29° Cesium, swimming in the sea) was yesterday.

Kids in Slovenija finish school on 23rd of June and return to school on 1st of September, but since this year 1st of September drops on Friday I think most of kids will be in school only on Monday, 4th.

  10. Just listen to whatever you feel like :)

I listen music every day (no radio) and I go days without metal sometimes, but sometimes I would listen to one metal song on a repeat 15 times.

Sometimes I would listen something on the more extreme side of metal and something something more on the softer side :)

But I will never apologize for it (I don't know if this is the right expression) because the music I'm listening I listen for me to be in a certain mood not for others.

P.S. summer started in Slovenija, feeling very Olympic today 😊

I, personally, really like Croatia. The sea is beautiful, the view is wonderful. But I also would like to visit, maybe, France or Greece.

As a neighbor country of Croatia (Slovenija) I can confirm Croatia is very beautiful :) I don't have any problems with Croatian people, they are very nice :)

I would like to go from NY to LA with a car someday :)

  12. When we were on road trip in California we landed in LA and took the rent a car service. I was driving and when you get to the (I think it was six lanes) highway you get a little scared. But after a while I got comfortable and it was OK, you just have to put mentality of driving in Slovenija aside and just go crazy :D I remember San Francisco as the worst place to drive around.

Few years back I was in London, staying at East India and I just drove there and used public transport for the time being there because the traffic was just crazy.

When I visited this year I left the car in Purfleet and went with public transportation to London (I stayed near Hyde park).

But overall I love driving, I have a plan to visit Portugal in few weeks and plan to drive there which is 2640km in one direction.

  13. I am living in a village and I always remember all the kids hanging together and we always looked up to the older kids. I first heard Metallica when the older kids were listening to it I still get the goosebumps when Blackened starts playing :) And when we got older younger kids looked up to us :)  We have a semi pro skateboarder in our village and he once said he would have never skate if it wasn't for us, older kids, and I felt proud of it :)

My daughter loves Stranger Things and she is blasting MoP a lot and I hope she will get to explore the music as much as we did.

So where I'm going with this is that almost everybody was introduced to metal somehow and if it by some TV show I don't see any problems with that. Those who will want to explore any further will do so and those who won't will know only one Metallica's song 😃

  14. Not watching a lot of new movies recently just because the quota of certain marginal groups that need to be in everything.

Not that I have anything against those groups but it's all so predictable.

I realize that might be just the Netflix but that's all I have :D

Watched THE DAWN WALL yesterday, and I would recommend it to everyone 🤘

  15. I need to lose some weight. I have been overweight last 10 years but I always thought to myself that until I feel OK and can do anything it doesn't bother. That changed now, it really started to bother me. I have very unhealthy eating habits. No breakfast and when I am hungry at work I order pizza or something similar. Then nothing the whole day and then in the evening I get the munchies and I bring out the chips, chocolate and Cola.

I was on a diet 4 years ago, I lost 30 kg in 6 months but gained all of it and more soon after so the main problem for me is to keep the wanted weight not loosing it :)
