Off the top of my head, Dream Theater, Tool, Twelve Foot Ninja, Opeth, Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Slayer, Gojira, Slipknot, Korn, ERRA. I don't really favor one sub-genre over another, metals got such a diverse range of awesomeness to explore, music in general for that matter. I like dubstep and some pop music even. If i had to pick a favouritesubgenre, i'd probably pick prog and then un-pick it because there's something awesome somewhere else. How about yourself?
