I don't have a lot to add right now, but there are a few albums I'm looking forward to - this February will see new releases from:
Ad Nauseam - Imperative Imperceptible Impulse
I just listened to about half of this and it's holding up to its promise, a definite step up from their (very good) debut. Chaotic, technical, dissonant DM that doesn't hide behind layers of murk. Here's a link to a full album premiere: https://www.nocleansinging.com/2021/01/29/an-ncs-album-premiere-and-a-review-ad
1914 - Where fear and weapons meet October 22, presumably on Napalm Records.
"Blind leading the blind" was my favorite album of 2018 so I'm really looking forward to the follow up. For those unaware, 1914 is an Ukrainian black metal band (no Nazi) that mainly sing about WW1. They're not the rawest, nor the most commercial, but straddles that nice middle ground of being memorable while still being fucking intense.
