Your Top 100 Black Metal Albums
The title says it all. I'm not posting the most essential, most cult, or whatever black metal albums, simply 100 of my favorites. These are determined by taste and nothing more, and it would be interesting to see responses in the form of criticism and/or lists of your own. I highly suggest checking out any of these albums that you may not have heard, and feel free to suggest possible additions to my list as well that I may not have heard.

I did this year by year, because that's the easiest way for me to approach a project like this. In the end I couldn't get it even close to 100, but I was doing pretty good trying to keep the number of albums down as low as possible until I got to the last 5 years and then I just kinda gave up. Seems it takes a little more time and distance until I have the perspective to know which albums from the last few years will stand the test of time and which ones won't.
