Early Destruction have some really nasty riffs, particularly Bestial Invasion, that song is one of my all-time thrash favorites

Destruction was the only European thrash band that I ever really liked - due in no small part to "Bestial Invasion."

I thought Sodom was okay, but never really cared for the vocalist of Kreator.  When getting into metal, I passed through extreme thrash pretty quickly.  I used to listen to Slayer a lot, though.  Once I found black metal, though, I pretty much stopped exploring other genres (about 90% of the music that I seek out for listening is bm at this point).

Sodom is the pick of the bunch for me. Early and late-era Sodom is particularly strong. Like Kreator, there was a large 'flat patch' in there for a while but they came back strong with M16. Really looking forward to the upcoming release with the new band thats been assembled...

First 3 Destruction (starting with Sentence of Death) are hot, hot hot.

I liked some of the songs on M16 quite a bit.  I think that I will have to go and revisit it.  I had always intended to listen to some of their really early material, but never got around to it - another item for my list of things to listen to soon.
