Good evening!

I have got to be honest: I absolutely suck at writing introductions! But never the less, I have been listening to various kinds of metal since the age of 10...and do not misunderstand me when I say "various"...it does mean that I tolerated all kinds of metal! And along side with that I listen to some punk and goth, too. Sometimes I have been very active in the scene and at other times not...in the late 1990's and early 2000's I wrote for a couple of very underground magazines like Metal Poisoning and Arternitas Fear Mag...and if you have never heard about them, then there is a flipping good reason for this: they were both Danish magazines with very limited editions!

Yup, I am from Denmark, but now living in Sweden...deep underground in a very plain and boring neck of the woods. I got sick and tired of FB and I am looking for more interesting "internet homes". I'll probably start out as a lurker here, just getting a feeling of the place, and take it from there.

As for my nickname: I just saw a doc on Youtube about the golden age of piracy (another interest of mine) and thought "why the hell not?" lol

Welcome. I'm into a bit of goth and post-punk as well (can't get into straight punk though). What bands are you into lately?

These days I am listening to a lot of Bathory...well more than usual. I never seem to get tired of that band no matter what *lol* I am in a very spiritual mood at the moment. Then some old Japanese bands like Sabertooth Tiger, early X-Japan, and Loudness and come bedtime: Rosetta Stone. And the yesterday I checked out a lot of Blodarv on Youtube, well because they are one of Denmark's best black metal bands and I felt like a trip down memory lane.

So as I said very variated. I do neither have the need nor the desire to "fit into" a certain genre anymore. I am totally following my own path now, confusing most people by just the sight of me *lol*

Straight Edge punk was never big in Denmark, so I do not know so much about it, but it seems waaay to fanatical and dogmatic for me to ever regard it as punk: the music might be hardcore, but the attitude is not!

Super quick update info: A slight name change has been made. Decided to become a member here one very late night when I was deprived of sleep and block head here made a spelling error which has been nagging me ever since. But all is well now :)
