  1. This is a solo project made fully by me (from recording to mixing). As my passion is all kinds of metal this record is kind of difficult to put in a genre but I will say that is Post-Metal. This album talks about all my trips through several nature reserves in my country (Spain) and everything that happened to me when I saw the deterioration of the landscapes over time and especially the damage caused by humans. It is a project that seeks no profit of any kind but to educate a little more people who do not care much about the environment. That said I leave the link and I hope you like it. (Let me know what you think about it!) https://cultofflesh.bandcamp.com/album/heart-of-the-mountain
  2. Hello everyone, Doom/Sludge band - vAv Bio Formed in 2016, Tel Aviv based Doom/Sludge trio vAv (translated to the sixth Hebrew letter) have made a pact to serve stoned repetitive minimalist riffs. On their debut self-titled demo, the band's three members dive into extremely low-tuned drones drenched in fuzz, haunted by distant vocals and dragged by stomping drums all the way to hell. Among the band's live performances, vAv had also supported local live acts such as US based Bell Witch and Primitive Man, Sweden based Saturnalia Temple, Walk Through Fire and Trepaneringsritualen, and also played alongside UK based duo Khost on their tour in Israel. 3. Third Island has just released their album Omelas on CD and downloads. https://thirdisland.bandcamp.com/album/omelas "Omelas" is the first full length album, and third release, by Irish Post-Metal band Third Island. This album's concept follows the story of "The Ones Who Walk Away From The Omelas" by Ursula K. Le Guin. The story presents the ideal Utopian society, where people are certain to prosper definitely into the future, so long as they are happy not to question the methods behind their City's success. There are some who cannot take the success of the City so simply, and who choose instead to seek out the secrets deeper within. The answers, however, are often worse than they are prepared for, and leaves the people with only two choices - to live silently with this knowledge or be exiled into the Mountains, a place from where no-one has ever returned. Written over the course of a year, the album lyrically and musically explores the themes of the story; the joy of discovery, the pride of the city, the anger and sadness of learning the truth, and final isolation of the ultimatum. This is achieved through a meld of genres, shifting slowly through melancholic post-rock and progressive passages into oppressive, anxious doom and sludge. Please enjoy your visit to our beautiful, unforgiving city.

  7. Hi, Craig here from Nomadic Rituals. Apologies for the promo post but I just wanted to introduce some people to the band. Formed in 2012, Nomadic Rituals is a heavy 3-piece Doom/Sludge band from Belfast, NI. We released our second album 'Marking the Day' on the 17th February 2017. You can listen and download the entire album for free from our bandcamp page. " 'Marking the Day' was created as a concept album envisioning the birth and death of the cosmos, and ultimately focusing upon our subsequent place within it. From the formation of physical matter and structure of the universe; to the division of the first single cells and the evolution of the dominant species; to the final and inevitable heat death of the entire universe. Each track takes a narrowing perspective which begins to focus on the role of our species living on a single planet in an ancient dying universe. 9. It's really just me working on this, and I've designed the look, built the content, and managed the site by myself to honor the band. If you're a Redditor, please consider subscribing and contributing to my wittle subweddit! https://www.reddit.com/r/yob/ Cheers!
  10. I'm interested to see whether people class doom metal as extreme metal. I feel like with death or black metal it seems pretty obvious they belong under the extreme metal umbrella, but with doom there seems to be a wider variance. A band like Primitive Man are about as extreme as you can get, but then there's stuff like The Obsessed which gets labelled doom but is really just 70s-style hard rock, and not particularly extreme. What do people think? I just started a PhD researching extreme metal subgenres, and this stuff is fascinating to me.
  11. Hello! I have a project that I have been working on for the last decade or so. It's a Grindcore/Experimental project. The band is called The Patient Died Suddenly (xTPDSx). It's a 1-man-band. I have a Bandcamp account setup, just wanted to get some feedback. This project started off grindcore with a humorous lyrical side, but has now ended up as a "whatever I want" type thing. My latest EP was a mix of Sludgy Groove type metal, which turned out to be instrumental since I lack decent vocals (but I try). So yeah, constructive critiques are welcome! Thanks! https://thepatientdiedsuddenly.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/xTPDSx/
  12. Greetings We are a post-metal sludge kind of project that's still in its early days. We have a few tracks on YouTube, and soon we will get a Bandcamp page going. Some of our influences are Cult of Luna, Latitudes, or Process of Guilt. I'll leave a link to one of our tracks. All other tracks are on my youbtube channel, it's easy to find from this track. All feedback is welcome.

    Estoner

Estoner "Lennud Saatana Dimensioonis" Release date: 29.04.2016; CD, digital, cassette, VHS Estonian reptile-doom View the full video-album Bandcamp First impressions Buy the album Facebook Estoner is a veteran of Tallinn's psychedelic/stoner/doom scene, having been active for over 6 years and can be characterized as a group on a path of discovery, mixing and mashing genres, styles, sounds and tones together, until something face-melting and mind-bending emerges as a result. What started off as Kyuss and Down worship, rapidly evolved into a monstrous mash-up of everything loud and heavy, mixing sludge, stoner and doom, seasoned with a healthy dose of prog and black metal. The release of their debut album “The Stump Will Rise” in 2012 saw the band performing abundantly in Estonia and taking them on a tour through Europe which led them all the way to France. While keeping a lower profile for a few years, Estoner continued experimenting with genres and sounds and will re-emerge from deep beneath the earth's crust with a lower and thicker sound, presenting a new album in April 2016, followed by a 2-week tour in Europe with Kannabinõid: 06.05 Vilnius LT @ Xi20 + Goat Metamorphosis 07.05 Warsaw PL @ Chmury + Somanaut 08.05 Poznan PL @ U Bazyla + Rah Pitia 09.05 Hamburg DE @ Bar 227 + dune. 10.05 Bilina CZ @ Moskva 11.05 Prague CZ @ Modra Vopice 12.05 Jihlava CZ @ Bezvedomi 13.05 Ostrava CZ @ Plan B + BBYB 14.05 Velenje SI @ eMCe plac + Wardhill, Intercoastal, Extreme Smoke 57 15.05 Budapest HU @ R33 + Grizzly 16.05 Košice SK @ Collosseum 17.05 Lviv UA @ Underground + Gravitsapa 18.05 Lodz PL @ Zarty Zartami + Diuna 20.05 Kaunas LT @ Lemmy + Wifebeater 21.05 Riga LV @ Leningrad
  14. Consciousness Removal Project is a one-man post-metal band from Tampere, Finland. After four albums, a double EP called Tides of Blood was published. The first part came out in November 2015 and the second part just now. Tides of Blood is probably the heaviest and most progressive CRP album to date, and has again some growled vocals after the all-instrumental Tacit (2013). https://consciousnessremovalproject.bandcamp.com/album/tides-of-blood-pt-1 https://consciousnessremovalproject.bandcamp.com/album/tides-of-blood-pt-2 Everythiing is downloadable and streamable for free, or you can get a CD for a modest price.
