  3. Hi! (sorry for my English) I'm vocalist (bass-baritone) from Ukraine based in Vienna. I also have played guitar for 10 years. Despite I'm studying classical vocal, I'm very fond of metal, especially doom, gothic and death metal. Also interested in composition. I'm looking for musicians with similar interests and open to suggestions. Thank you for your attention!
  4. Earlier this year Nomadic Rituals released their third Sludge/Doom album TIDES. Currently set for release on 12" coloured vinyl through Cursed Monk Records. Check it out. Listen and orders - https://cursedmonk.bandcamp.com/album/tides "However you go through Tides, one should be aware of the undertow that comes with the trio’s lumbering oscillations. That is to say, the album is one that does not blink as it pulls the listener into its sphere, at once broad and spacious and crushing and freezing the way one thinks of vacuum affecting lungs; gorgeous and destructive in kind." - The Obelisk https://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2021/01/28/nomadic-rituals-tides-them-video-premiere/ https://cursedmonk.bandcamp.com/album/tides https://nomadicrituals.bandcamp.com/ https://www.nomadicrituals.co.uk/ Cheers!
  5. I discovered that I love doom metal. I couldn't help but write my own instrumental single for fun. I'll post a link to it, feel free to listen to it and roast me! Cheers! https://sporedose.bandcamp.com/
  6. Altar of the Witch is a Stoner/Doom/Heavy project with '70s influences such as Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Jethro Tull, Uriah Heep, etc. The lyric video of 'Evil Sorceress' is available for free on this link: https://youtu.be/Exos0yivjao
  7. Hi, Looking for musicians to create and release an atmospheric doom metal album, looking for vocalist + guitar and drums. Some demo and more information here
  8. I'm interested to see whether people class doom metal as extreme metal. I feel like with death or black metal it seems pretty obvious they belong under the extreme metal umbrella, but with doom there seems to be a wider variance. A band like Primitive Man are about as extreme as you can get, but then there's stuff like The Obsessed which gets labelled doom but is really just 70s-style hard rock, and not particularly extreme. What do people think? I just started a PhD researching extreme metal subgenres, and this stuff is fascinating to me.
  9. Hello People! My name is Pitty666 and i am from (Not so doomed) Germany I started playing guitar in 2003. I've learned it on my own but mostly just for fun and nothing special. I Quickly came into a point that i didn't see any progress or good sounding stuff. So i let my guitar rest for good 16 years. Then In 2019, some dark strange spirits came over me. My dedication for Metal Music was grown to such an high level, that i decided to pick up my guitar again. I turned my old B.C. Rich Warlock Speedloader into a custom made Warlock, with a brand new Floyd Rose and regular tuning mechanics. I took my old 5 Watt Marshall amp by side and finally joined the "Orange Club" with the 15 Watt Rocker 15 combo amp. The Sound was awesome but all i know was playing by tabs. I wanted to play my own music.I wanted to show the music, that is in my head and share the feelings it delivers to me with other people. So i decided to learn how music is made and all about Scales Shapes and Modes. I was looking for the dark stuff u know.... For recording i've ordered the basic kit for 2019 times i think: - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 -SHURE SM57 mic -Mackie CR4 speaker I work with Cubase 5 on Windows 10 So far.. I hope to find some People here to have a talk about making/recording music on an basic and simple level. There is one Track on Youtube i've made. i will drop the link, in the right corner of this forum soon. -Pitty666

  11. The Grief is proud to release their debut single this month: “A New Dawn” available digitally now on Spotify & all other common streaming platforms. A New Dawn comes from the band’s debut digital EP “Ascent” to be released in late February. A lyric video for the single can both be found below, with the single’s artwork at the top of this post. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEaXgVEgYMA Formed in early 2016, The Grief features members from Cork-based metal bands Corr Mhóna and For Ruin, some of whose members had originally played together in a Katatonia tribute band. The Grief plays a mixture of doom-tinged metal with influences from all the aforementioned bands & made some live appearances in 2017 before recording an initial unreleased demo with the initial line up of the band: Robert Farrow - Drums, Kieran O'Leary - Bass, Paul Quinn - Guitars, Stephen Quinn - Vocals, John Murphy – Guitars. With the drum position vacated by Farrow who has since moved abroad, the band decided to focus on recording their first 9 songs during 2019 at Murphy’s home studio in North Cork. Recordings were completed in late 2019 with Murphy performing the drum parts while a new drummer was being recruited. The 9 songs have been mastered by Dan Swano at Unisound (www.unisound.se) in January 2020 and the band plans to release the material digitally via a number of releases during 2020. 12. Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and wanted to share some of my mixing work. I'm currently offering a discount to mix your band's next single/album. I specialize in metalcore, death metal, deathcore, progressive, and doom. If you want lush ambient leads over low sludgy aggressive instrumentals, send me a message on here or email me at: [email protected] I have a base price of $100 per song, and $25 for post production/editing. Message me before the deal is up. I only have so many openings this next month. Here's some of my past work:
  13. Hello. I'm a one man band, Escaping Aghartha. I create emotional songs, utilizing contrast to increase audial sensitivity. In this, I both soothe and abuse the listener, creating a genre-defying and unique metal album that is boundary-pushing. I released my first album recently, for streaming here. https://escaping-aghartha.bandcamp.com/album/evoke-contrast-evolve Thoughts, criticisms, etc. are always welcome. Cheers.
  14. This is a solo project made fully by me (from recording to mixing). As my passion is all kinds of metal this record is kind of difficult to put in a genre but I will say that is Post-Metal. This album talks about all my trips through several nature reserves in my country (Spain) and everything that happened to me when I saw the deterioration of the landscapes over time and especially the damage caused by humans. It is a project that seeks no profit of any kind but to educate a little more people who do not care much about the environment. That said I leave the link and I hope you like it. (Let me know what you think about it!) https://cultofflesh.bandcamp.com/album/heart-of-the-mountain

  17. Hello everyone, Doom/Sludge band - vAv Bio Formed in 2016, Tel Aviv based Doom/Sludge trio vAv (translated to the sixth Hebrew letter) have made a pact to serve stoned repetitive minimalist riffs. On their debut self-titled demo, the band's three members dive into extremely low-tuned drones drenched in fuzz, haunted by distant vocals and dragged by stomping drums all the way to hell. Among the band's live performances, vAv had also supported local live acts such as US based Bell Witch and Primitive Man, Sweden based Saturnalia Temple, Walk Through Fire and Trepaneringsritualen, and also played alongside UK based duo Khost on their tour in Israel. 18. Third Island has just released their album Omelas on CD and downloads. https://thirdisland.bandcamp.com/album/omelas "Omelas" is the first full length album, and third release, by Irish Post-Metal band Third Island. This album's concept follows the story of "The Ones Who Walk Away From The Omelas" by Ursula K. Le Guin. The story presents the ideal Utopian society, where people are certain to prosper definitely into the future, so long as they are happy not to question the methods behind their City's success. There are some who cannot take the success of the City so simply, and who choose instead to seek out the secrets deeper within. The answers, however, are often worse than they are prepared for, and leaves the people with only two choices - to live silently with this knowledge or be exiled into the Mountains, a place from where no-one has ever returned. Written over the course of a year, the album lyrically and musically explores the themes of the story; the joy of discovery, the pride of the city, the anger and sadness of learning the truth, and final isolation of the ultimatum. This is achieved through a meld of genres, shifting slowly through melancholic post-rock and progressive passages into oppressive, anxious doom and sludge. Please enjoy your visit to our beautiful, unforgiving city.
