  1. For fans of Lamb of God, Pantera, and catchy riffs... Brand new single from a really cool band by the name of Resurgence. Single is available now on YouTube, album preorders available on Bandcamp! Pre-orders: https://resurgencemusic.bandcamp.com
  2. EBM records presents the 46th offering of the "Thrash is Back" Series. Assaulter has continued to evolve since its fantastic EP debut into one of the most lethal forces in thrash, and delivers a monumental debut full length in "Meat Grinder". Taking the hyper fast riffs and ambitious leanings of "Crushed by Raging Mosh" and tempering them with pure, unrelenting violence. The result is a unique hybrid strain of thrash and extreme metal that ranges from all-out speed assaults such as "Meat Grinder " and "Terror World " to the more elaborated and intrincated "Liesocracy." Assaulter makes a triumphant step forward on this record, it's an absolute must for anyone into Thrash Metal today. Available on i Tunes Amazon Store CD BABY Official facebook
  3. If you could, please listen to some of my songs and videos, check this out: For metal styled songs, I'd recommend "Hypocrite" "Shredding Session" "The Escape" "No Second Chances" "Thorn in my Side" "Modern Prophet" "Twilights Threat" "Here But not There" "I Run" "New World Order" or "Enemy of my Enemy." If you are able to listen to a song or two and let me know what you think I'd truly appreciate it!
  4. Greetings, Metal Forum community. I'm an artist and lover of things metal. My favorite genres/subgenres are, as tagged, progressive, death, heavy, thrash, symphonic, power, speed, and gothic metal, as well as metalcore, djent and nwobhm. My compositions tend to blend or use these genres most heavily. I play drums, guitar, and sing. I also write rock songs but I won't burden you with the details since this is the metal forum after all :D. Posted a thread in the Promote your Band forum, and will try to give feedback to others as I know, being an artist myself, how important that is. Here is the link to that thread: Moderator note: Please keep all promotion in the Promote Your Band Forum (which you are obviously aware of). Sorry Moderator! I wasn't sure if asking for feedback was considered promotion, I made the thread and simply posted a link so hopefully that sorts it out thanks!
  5. Hi everyone, As a thrash metal project from Milan, Skull Kollektor is looking for advice by fellow fans of the genre. This is the very first song we have come up with since forming late in novembre 2016. The lyrics tell the tale of someone who brings the dead back to life, then abuses them, then kills them again in an eternal (and infernal) loop. It's like three Slayer tunes put together: "Post-mortem", "Necrophiliac" and "Kill Again"! Big influences (lyrically) were certainly Alice Cooper, Mercyful Fate and Italy's very own Death SS. We are very dedicated fans of traditional thrash metal and would truly appreciate some feedback on this song. Negative feedback is very welcome too, because if we are doing terribly wrong, we might just stop right away!
  6. Cavador is thrash metal band created in 2003 originally from Argentina, nowadays I live between Norway and Spain and it became a recording project with different members. I’m looking for 1 or 2 guitar players to record the next album, the songs are done and drums and bass have been already recorded… also if you don’t have much time and want to record one song or some solos, that would be fine. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you samples asap, you don't have to be a very technical player, but experience recording yourself would be nice. Here you can listen the last EP we have recorded: http://cavador.bandcamp.com/album/prohibido-nacer [email protected] Thanks!

  9. Hello everyone, this thread is about songs/albums (modern thrash) that will become classics 20-30 years from now. Here is my list: Dark roots of the earth-Testament album Time is up-Havok album Downfall-Exodus song Children of a worthless God-Exodus song Lying in state-Megadeth song Formation of damnation-Testament album Phantom antichrist-Kreator album Hordes of chaos-Kreator Enemy of God-Kreator What do you guys think?
  10. It is a beautiful thing when a band begins to find its own identity, and that is exactly what happened with this record. While Slayer's previous effort, Show no Mercy, had obvious influence from contemporary metal bands, especially Iron Maiden and Venom, Haunting the Chapel was the beginning of the distinct Slayer sound that so many know and love today. The guitar riffs were heavier and and darker and even a bit atonal, the bass was less present and was now contributing to the percussive rhythm section rather than being its own entity, the vocals were much more harsh, and the drums were more complex and extreme, showing Dave Lombardo's capabilities. This record is very heavy, but to merely describe it as that would be an injustice. This was a time when Slayer became a lot more technical, writing riffs and solos that were (and still are) mesmerizing and brutally fast. Also, the lyrics became much more dark, displaying Slayer's ever-present desire to push societal norms and exploit taboos. All in all, this record is where Slayer became Slayer-- a band that can produce innovatively heavy sounds and make anyone want to bang their heads. Also, as I mentioned in my introduction, I am a big slayer fan, and this album is so important to me that I got it on clear vinyl with red splatter and listen to it almost every morning. It always makes me pick up my guitar and bust out a Slayer-esque riff. [Edit] I tried to attach a picture of the record for anyone who wants to see, but it keeps saying that the file is too big.
  11. Hello, I'm from Brazil looking for people to collaborate in making music (something like an online band). I'm an amateur, rhythm guitarist with thrash metal influences. I'm mainly looking for a vocalist, but would also like to find other instrumentists. Here's some songs that I made. Not great quality, as I recorded it in my bedroom, I think it could be much better in a studio with pro equipment. Thanks.
  12. Hello, recently I've been wanting to get into death angel but I don't know where to start. What're some of the best death angel songs and also the bands most definitive, meaning what made death angel, death angel? Thanks

  14. With their previous release, "Deathless", Revocation truly found their identity and put out an exceptional record, using diverse styles along the way. "Great Is Our Sin" has taken Revocation's brand of music to an even higher level. It's progressive, it's technical, it's melodic, it's heavy; it's everything you could ask for from a metal band. For the most part, the songs have very complex structures, using melodies in every which way possible, taking progressive breaks at appropriate times, and using various rhythms to get the most out of the music. But, more importantly, the songs are not repetitive in sound or palette at all. Dave Davidson and Dan Gargiulo drew from their many influences, including jazz, blues, thrash metal, death metal, and much more, and carefully put together this album. Also, Brett Bamberger and Ash Pearson held together the rhythm section, using the creative freedom they had in order to complement the guitar playing of Davidson and Gargiulo masterfully. To really put the icing on the cake, Davidson's soloing, once again, blew my mind and brought me to places I have never been. He really has a gift for taking a song and using every aspect of it to his advantage in composing a solo, and he never ceases to further his technical ability and creative genius. Beyond the instruments, Davidson's vocals are as powerful as ever, firing a barrage of chilling screams and deep growls throughout the entire album. Furthermore, the lyrical content stayed interesting, as always. The lyrics mainly criticize contemporary society, exploiting social class prejudices, greed, mass ignorance, and an overall corrupt people. However, there are odd nods in the direction of religion and history throughout the album. Overall, I find this to be a nearly perfect album. I know Revocation still has more potential and room for improvement, but I would recommend it to any fan of metal. It really impressed me.
  15. Hello, recently I've been looking around for thrash playlists on Apple Music and I found a playlist titled, "best of '00s thrash" so I listened to it and enjoyed it quite a bit. Bands like warbringer, havok, municipal waste, toxic holocaust, evile, and skeletonwitch wowed me. Anyways I started researching the thrash Renaissance or thrash revival movement and not once did I see havok's or evile's name. This seemed odd to me because havok and evile formed in the 2000s and from what I heard had some great thrash material. Why is this? If anyone knows please tell me, also what do you guys think about the thrash revival/Renaissance and what are some of your favorite bands from the movement? Also, what old bands do you think have produced good thrash in recent years? I really enjoy modern kreator, destruction, death angel, and "dystopia" by megadeth.
  16. My name is Brandon Coburn, I am the Rhythm guitarist of a band in Fairmont, West Virginia called Downfall Devotion. We are currently looking for a vocalist. As we currently stand, we are working on a four song EP and have one song released for FREE while the others are being finished. For our EP, we had our Drummer do the vocals and the free release was also a means to let any vocalist know what style/range we are looking for on top of, well, releasing material. Anyways, if you are interested and live close enough to Fairmont for it to not be an inconvenience for you, please contact me on here. (Or contact the band on Facebook or SoundCloud through links!) I will post links to the bands page and SoundCloud here where you can hear the material and see if our style fits you. Thank you and Cthulhu bless! https://www.facebook.com/DownfallDevotion/
  17. Hello everyone, I know in one of my previous forums I said it would be a bad idea to cover my guitar in stickers. I still am not going to, but right now I'm really into a band called havok, who by the way if you don't know them are an amazing thrash band, check em out. Anyways their lead guitarist in a music video used an Alexi laiho 600 scythe with a few stickers on the side and a few around the bridge. The stickers were small so it's not like I'm totally changing the way the guitar looks, I think it adds some flare to the guitar. If anyone could help identify these stickers that would be amazing. Also, if the pictures don't show up please tell me because I'm posting this on an iPhone. One last thing, what do you all think of havok?
  18. Hello, I'm 14 and want more than anything to start a thrash metal band, however I live in Kentucky and with my age, the age limit for band members would probably be like 16. I can cover rhythm guitar and if needed possibly vocals. I need a lead guitarist bassist and drummer and if possible a vocalist. Please help me!!!!!! I've researched it and all metal bands from Kentucky are black or death metal, sssssooooo if you joined you would be a part of the first Kentuckian thrash metal band! Please, join if you live in the area and are interested or if you know anyone please tell me. Thank you, Charlie
