  1. On August 31,, When Bitter Spring Sleeps will celebrate the return to underground metal with the stunning new full-length, Star-Thrown. While honoring WBSS' pagan black metal roots, Star-Thrown adds choral vocals, and space atmospheric elements to its underground sound. In a bold move, the vocals performed by Lord Sardonyx are now entirely choral in style, somewhat akin to a cloister of secluded monks. Combined with the black metal guitars and ethereal guitar synth leads, this achieves not an "orchestral" sound, but the feel of a sort of "Cosmic Cathedral". Star-Thrown creates a cosmic atmosphere without sounding like other atmospheric metal acts. Instead of cold, digital synths, only purely analog instruments are used to conjure all sounds on the album. Instead of screeching, or roaring vocals, a chorus of ethereal chants. The metal part of the music itself claims inspiration from acts like Summoning and Bathory. Mastering of STAR-THROWN was performed by the almighty Andrew D'Cagna, owner/engineer at Sacred Sound Recording and Mastering as well as member of such amazing acts as OBSEQUIAE, NECHOCHWEN, IRONFLAME, and COLDFELLS. For a preview of the album, a new video for the track "CosmiCathedraLumination" can be viewed HERE. When Bitter Spring Sleeps' Lord Sardonyx comments: "All previous WBSS albums contained unifying concepts told through mythical tales. The concept for Star-Thrown is much less specific, but all the tracks share my belief that nature does not end at the Earth's horizon. She is merely a part of the universe and all of Nature was previously part of dying stars. All of this will someday be destroyed, transformed, and reformed into new matter. When the mighty Earth is consumed by our dying sun, everything will be thrown to the universe on a possible path to rebirth as new lifeforms or merely inanimate matter. These songs tell a tale of destruction, transformation, and rebirth on a cosmic scale." "I am very pleased with the sound of the album. I believe it is the best sounding album I've done. You will not be destroyed by the crushing intensity of it, because that was not the intention at all. I strived to create a smooth, warm atmosphere that was also very powerful and uplifting. There is a bit of sorrow and dreamlike darkness within, but mostly I feel that it portrays a very positive vibration concerning the transmission of our material to other worlds. A celebration of freeing the spirit from the physical body." Star-Thrown is When Bitter Spring Sleeps' THIRD full-length album, following full-Length albums COVEN OF THE WOLVES and SPIRIT IN FLAMES, a self-titled demo, and a split album with the mighty PANOPTICON. Previous album SPIRIT IN FLAMES featured a very raw and heathen sound with heavy Bathory and Summoning leanings. Pagan black metal with clean vocals. Before that, COVEN OF THE WOLVES featured theprimordial beauty of nature, cast into songs of melodic, earthbound pagan doom Just this year, When Bitter Spring Sleeps' song "The Sky Has Not Always Been This Way" was also covered by German pagan black metal act HORN on the very well-received album "Turm am Hang" and Lord Sardonyx performed lead vocals for the song on HORN's album. where the album can be pre-ordered in the following formats: --Digipak CD --Digital Download Featuring a cover and layout by Misty Visions Art (Wędrujący Wiatr, Stworz, Fall, etc.) Star Thrown track-listing: 1. 2. A lot of my favorite bands have gone in so many less exciting directions, Northlane's new music since Adrian has been lack luster, After The Burial's newest album has its moments but isn't anything like "In Dreams" and so on. but this local just dropped a Music video yesterday thats WAY higher quality than most locals right out of the gate. got my jimmy's all excited. so i pre-ordered their album and i'm hoping this purchase wont burn me. I really hope they get the recognition they deserve. Go check out QuietKind on facebook. i'll link the music video i saw too.
  3. Hey there! First of all, I'd like to say hi because it's my first post here! Let me introduce myself. My name's Lenny and I've started my solo project called Lengbleu in 2012. In the past few years, I only posted my originals and covers on soundcloud. In 2016, I decided to work on a full album and it's finally out now! I've spent most of my weekends of 2016 working on this one... It might not be to everyone's taste but this album was a great therapy for me. I've done everything on my own. Except for the guests appearances I would classify it as Instrumental Progressive Metal.. But It also has some Post-Rock influences... I'm quite bad at putting my music into a category! The album was released on the 28th of Feb. Check it out over there I hope you will like it Feel free to be honest and share what you think of it here! Lenny
  4. Hi all! I go by Alex Chaos in the musician community, I hail from Canada, and I initially joined to promote an album I had put forth on youtube about 9 months ago which I hope you will enjoy! It is always nice to meet new people , make friends and discussed one of our favorite topics, that being awesome music! That being said I would like to provide a little background about this album! In 2013, I had joined a local Progressive power metal/folkmetal band as their new lead vocalist. Unfortunately it didn't last long as the band decided they didn't want to be a serious project anymore. Disappointed , I had contacted fellow members a year after to ask permission to finish the album so I could say I had a metal album with my vocals on it. They said it was fine as long as I didn't pass it as my own. Essentially, Obsidia had all the instrumentation written and vocals for 7 of the 9 tracks. I wrote the lyrics for two tracks off the album. In addition everything vocally on the album is me and my own flavor so to speak and how I envisioned the songs and album and I feel there is something for everyone! I have labelled it as a cover and maintain artistic integrity. The album titled " The Prophecy" is a concept album that follows the story of a village burned to the ground by a tyrant king in the Kingdom of Adalon. War ensues and the gods are not pleased by the vulgar display of humanity and ultimately decide to start the world over from scratch. I apologize if the quality is a bit of as the instrumentation was all pre recorded by the band and I worked with my own sound guy and all he could do was mix and master my vocals to the previous recordings. WITHOUT FURTHER BABBLING HERE IS THE LINK!!! I hope you all enjoy it, I worked really hard and due to finances and schedule it took me 2 years to complete! I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback and if you have any inquires, or want to support me on my musical venture do not hesitate to message me here on this forum, I would appreciate it majorly! I really hope you all like it! Keep it metal, and have a wonderful day!

  9. Chronicles is a french metal band from Bordeaux, formed in 2015 by Mathieu Larroudé.The line-up is Mathieu Larroudé (guitar), Thomas (guitar), the brothers Alexandre & Vicent Camontes (drum & bass) and Matt (vocals).Chronicles’ music is influenced by jent, thrash and death metal. Still, the band is not willing to sit back and write in only one particular genre. Mixing brutality and groove with destructured compositions, the music is both technical and efficient.A pre-production led to an artist deal for Mathieu and Vincent with Mayones Guitar & Bass. The Album «The Man On A Leash» is the first of a series and tells a science fiction story. It was recorded during summer 2015 at La Cahute studio (drum and bass). Guitars and vocals were recorded by the band and mixed by Matt. El Mobo, Conkrete Studio (Gorod, Loudblast,..) worked on the mastering and was finaly released in january 2016.Second part is to be recorded about spring 2016. The visuals were designed by Bastien Jez and based on the story concept.DRUM CAM:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_L-rmdL6EUGUITAR PLAYTHROUGH:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg17...mW7Tpc&index=2Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/chroniclesmetalband

  16. FAR FROM YOUR SUN is an artistic project which started in Paris in September 2013, aiming at presenting rock music original compositions in association with creations from talented artists from a number of different disciplines such as photography, painting and writing. Laden with romanticism, poetry, sometimes dark and disturbing, every piece is the illustration of a sensation, an experience, the key actors of which are nature and the human being. FAR FROM YOUR SUN means that it's possible to live a happy and fulfilled life far from conventions, typical lifestyles, away from a sun that's flattering yet often illusive and deceitful. FAR FROM YOUR's debut LP "In the beginning... was the emotion" is composed of 8 single tracks that have already been made available on the internet and have been regrouped onto a single medium in order to better promote the project. The album is available on all the main digital platforms as well as a digipack (physical CD + download) from http://farfromyoursun.bandcamp.com/ The video from the track "The eightfold path" was published last September. Produced by Raphaël d'Aboville (Le Petit Remorqueur), the video stages two characters on their way to discovering one another as well as their own self. It is also about the acquaintance of dance and music. https://www.facebook.com/farfromyoursun
  17. Hello. I'm KJ the guitar player, mainly played with several progressive rock/metal bands in Korea and Japan. A few years ago, the band I worked with broke up for some reason, I couldn't form or join a new band. But I don't want to quit making music. So I made an EP, alone. I took care of the entire process by myself for it. Everything.(Except for the illustrations.) My new album "The shadow" is just released. Now I'm on the next level. I have to promote the album on my own. Please listen to my music. You can save my life with this. Thank you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1VBaAzGBAg&list=PLfiIbNnSF5SOoBY7uktRaC3SvwAhN5Z4j
