Hey good people, I've been working on an album for my project From The Thicket. I know genre labels are always a point of contention but I'd say my work draws a lot from groove oriented bands (e.g. meshuggah, vildhjarta) and dissonant/strange death metal bands like Gorguts. The Album has 13 tracks completed, and I'm currently working on improving the production. I play guitar and bass, and use Ezdrummer for the drums. Its all mixed and mastered by me. I haven't got vocals on this one but I have used scream samples in parts and other voice samples, to fill that void. In the future I'd love to have a full band with a vocalist, however, right now its all about crafting a sound and seeing if I can generate interest. I've also made my own videos. I love making this stuff so I hope some of you guys enjoy it! For anyone wondering, the name is actually the meaning behind the name "Bruce". That was my father's name and he sadly passed away In March this year after a battle with cancer. This project is dedicated to him and I've included a few references to him/his illness in the song titles. Hello! I am Joel, the lead guitarist and songwriter from Coup de Grâce! Coup De Grâce is a female-fronted power metal band from Singapore delivering heavy metal with an eclectic, avant-garde dimension. From sounds ranging from fast-paced galloping rhythms to a symphonic experience, Coup De Grâce draws its influences from the likes of Iron Maiden, Nightwish and Iced Earth. We just released our EP today, 12/04/18. We are hoping for some thoughts on what you guys think? Maybe perhaps you can help us distinguish our genre? We are unable to classify ourselves but most of the people who listen to us call us a power metal outfit. However we have also been called Avant Garde Metal or Progressive Metal. I am the primary songwriter in the band and basically my aim was to encapsulate all my favourite aspects of metal into one sound. I love the dual harmonies of Iron Maiden, the crazy Djent stuff from Meshuggah, the uniqueness of Iced earth, the melodic, atmospheric feel of Nightwish and the odd timing beats of like Prog metal bands. On 16.12.2016 was released "AZ-5 (feat. MoozE)" music video from Polish industrial groove/death metal band TORTURE OF HYPOCRISY. Videoclip is promoting the third album titled "RBMK-1000" based on the concept of Chernobyl Disaster. "AZ-5" was recorded in cooperation with MoozE - the composer of the soundtrack to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl video game. Music video was produced in cooperation with RST - Exploration Group and contains a number of authentic video footage from Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Chronicles is a french metal band from Bordeaux, formed in 2015 by Mathieu Larroudé.The line-up is Mathieu Larroudé (guitar), Thomas (guitar), the brothers Alexandre & Vicent Camontes (drum & bass) and Matt (vocals).Chronicles’ music is influenced by jent, thrash and death metal. Still, the band is not willing to sit back and write in only one particular genre. Mixing brutality and groove with destructured compositions, the music is both technical and efficient.A pre-production led to an artist deal for Mathieu and Vincent with Mayones Guitar & Bass.The Album «The Man On A Leash» is the first of a series and tells a science fiction story. It was recorded during summer 2015 at La Cahute studio (drum and bass). Guitars and vocals were recorded by the band and mixed by Matt. El Mobo, Conkrete Studio (Gorod, Loudblast,..) worked on the mastering and was finaly released in january 2016.Second part is to be recorded about spring 2016.
