  1. *Waves* It didn't take investment, I'd say, it just happened on a whim. 4 years later, now I can pretty much listen to anything from Death Metal. While I still favor the more popular bands like Death, Behemoth and Vader and mainstream albums of Carcass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqCDri7Ye30 I'm into Gorguts and Morgoth as well. Gorgasm too. Vltimas is great. (Equally like Entombed but it's not loud enough for a daily play) despite that I think now I can say that I can savor 90% or so of death metal. Slam Metal is somewhat annoying often because it sounds repetitive but I can listen to it as well. I recently developed a liking for black metal music too, not a fan of the raw stuff because well it's raw, purposely recorded on bad tech, not my thing. I grabbed a liking for Hornwood Fell, Grafvitnir, Darkthrone, Black Flame, Mgla, Batushka, Krallice, Satyricon, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otKmqy89zZM Slidhr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM83Y0WEtcE well a bunch of stuff is good, that cartoony black metal band whos name I can't remember now is fun as well. I think it's Belzebubs. Yup it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkdkZN1rduo Not sure about goregrind but I really like Wormrot which is Grindcore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlPxgm0FSYw and Joy which is Hardcore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiPp2-WRWpI (I don't even know what hardcore is lol, but I love the band called Joy and apparently it's hardcore, sounds like grindcore to me so w/e) Anywayyyyyyyyyyyyy I still have a problem with doom metal and I need to fix that. What makes me come back to doom metal is it's deep sounds and that it sounds like the kind of metal you would play while playing Brutal Legend, Doom, Hexen, Blood or such games. It sounds fitting for a rotten wasteland territory. OFC black metal is fitting for that too, but the main difference in my opinion is that black metal is ghost like, ghastly? you'd be feeling the chills while with the kind of doom metal I want you'd be accustomed to the environment, you know? getting used to the hell like Mad Max. The only band that creates an interesting atmosphere and is doom metal is HELL which is apparently extreme fdoom, I had some listens with fdoom and I didn't find the right bands. So idk. Yet I don't play this album very often and I think it's because the lyrics are heavily overshadowed by the instrumentals. So yeah, anyone got a good suggestion that isn't operatic or melodic but is creepy and very deep with it's sound (not lyricism) and has lyrics as opposed to sludge where I hardly find a band that speaks... (WHY SLUDGE! WHY U DO DIS! You're so good but! arghhh!)
  2. It's so hard to find enough-like-able death metal so far I somewhat like these but none enough to listen on a daily basis everything I find just sounds so dooomy gloomy, and Technical and Melodic are bad I'm sure I could find great death trash bands, death folk or so but I want to see if I can find a straight death band (i really like Amon Amarth and Death's sound of preserverance album) https://youtu.be/tw_0WZZOkSc https://youtu.be/Pz0dS5kuRy0 https://youtu.be/Dw223-FK-Fw https://youtu.be/FXVN2Nj6sF8 (I like the live version more, the suggested songs from the same album are epic as well) and the first Deicide album sounds somewhat dope So yeah anything I could like that is not sounding gloomish doomish? even the mentioned ones sound like that and I don't like them that much anymore just on some degree still like the Obituary song (live version) I posted
  3. Songs sound good can be darker though but some fit perfectly, anyway I would chose some darker Marilyn Manson stuff something like Irresponsible Hate Anthem or other stuff from anti superstar, not sure if this ones from the ablum but it can go darker Slipknot fits perfectly for angry songs especially the song you chose (aside of a few stuff from all hope is gone and vol 3). I'm sad and really really don't get the hate, just because they are more famous or don't have the "hard to listen to instrumental sound/background sounds" (is not an insult, I just define it that way).. but I'll end my post with this.
  4. huh that snippet sounds amazing o.o I don't think I liked much stuff by them before, which album sounds the closest to this? :=)
  5. Quick reply, I just found this band https://youtu.be/T7Pu7NlDT9c And this damn whole album is so amazing o.o so unique sounding
  6. That's really good I love the vocals and the instrumentals are great too. When did they start? what's coda?
  7. Well the bold part is pretty much true lol But it's hard to listen to those sounds that's why I search for specific elements, aigh't not all elements have to be there but I, myself, don't hear not even 1 element similar to those bands I listen to :S the Metal Evolution: Extreme Metal documentary itself says it's hard to listen to xd. During that docummentary yesterday I liked the growls at the start 00:55 I believe. Than I searched and found out it's Vader, a band whose instrumentals just go on my nerves because how ((can't be sure of the reason so here are a few options who are not necessarily! true)) 1. it sounds too distroted 2. it doesn't sound clean enough 3. it sounds deep or the opposite of deep either way it's one of those on a very high level (can't tell the difference). But aight I still listened to a playlist with them, it's getting better. I always love folk metal and it's subgenres, don't really have to explore, haven't found a band I hate there lol P.S. I didn't post that thing bout Darktrone if you haven't noticed (even though I just checked them and don't like them, decent instrumentals though, but I hate doom and black)
  8. Knew this would be like a needle in a haystack :/
  9. I feel like the "accent" of the guitars is the biggest problem on the stuff I find (regarding instrumentals)
  10. And where exactly can I check you out? Doubt that I'll like it that much to continue listening since it's not metal though. I don't understand Panthymonium at all lol and the instrumental is also not that for me, Amorphis - I like the drums at 2 min mark https://youtu.be/IEZVLUj_CNw but other stuff sounds too modern or idk how to explain, besides the Vocals are too soft I want smth like Slipknot, Iowa, Gray Chapter but still unique I've checked out some bands on the reccommendation threads (will keep checking out still) and really none suit me, aside of a bunch of Folk Metal <3 which I'll keep listening to, but that was the 2nd thing i was looking for ((any kind of band I could like - 2nd thing which I still want suggested as wellbut tell me for what you're suggesting)), the prime thing was a band with harsh vocals similar to Corey and similar instrumentals but still sound unique so I don't compare them. The closest to the 1st thing I was looking for came Impera - Voice of Freedom, Ironically, the voice is what doesn't suit me, but I love the instrumentals, damn it
  11. tnx so much for the reply oh but how can I describe Slipknot's, Death's, Ensiferum's and AA's Vocals then? they are more brutal then the others so I need to know how to "suit" them when searching
  12. So I'm looking for brutal metal bands who have a vocalist with brutal vocals yet understandable and not too growly (suggest scream and growl but growl should not be too growly like Devourment huh thats not my cup of tea) here are some bands I like Iron Maiden Iced Earth Metallica (Kill em all and MOP only) Ensiferum Amon Amarth Alestorm Heidevolk Avenged Sevenfold Bullet for my Valentine Maximum The Hormone Anvil Annihillator Accept Testament Judas Priest Sodom (some stuff, trying to like them more) Saxon Death Slipknot Exodus (a bit) I don't know what else I liked Necronomicon but meh don't play them anymore please do not suggest Devourment, Slayer (guys are legends with instrumentals but can't listen to that vocal), Vader, Cannibal Corpse, Gorgoth, Asking Alexandria and similar stuff - for growl I need the closest to Slipknot yet unique so I don't always compare them, for screams I need the closest to Death but suggest anything if you can't think of that ASIDE OF THE MENTIONED suggest a bunch of band you think I might like based on my taste, p.s. it's a complicated taste
