  1. I can match my voice fairly accurately to any note from C2 to C4, and yet most of the songs I know seem to have a very limited range. I thought that Immigrant Song had a big range, but I just had a listen to it this evening, and I'm not sure it even stretches to two octaves. Does anyone know any songs which require a vocal range of more than two octaves?
  2. It is called Eternalize, and is available on iTunes or on the MD website as a physical CD. Twelve tracks include ten songs and two intrumental pieces. One of those - Restless Heart - is a piano solo. People who have listened to this album so far have drawn comparisons with Rush, Black Sabbath, and Metallica.
  3. Can't think of a fifth one right now
  4. As I write, The Warning's Enter Sandman cover is on over 5m views, which is remarkable when you consider that it was well below 2m at the start of this year. It was posted July last year, and obviously took a while to take off. This is not yet the most popular Sandman cover, but maybe it will be one day. The most viral Scorpions cover on Youtube is almost certainly Nargiz Zakirova's Voice of Russia audition. It is on various channels, and has been watched around 20m times so far as I can make out. By contrast, the most popular Black Sabbath cover on Youtube is Heaven and Hell by Motion Device, which has yet to reach 2m views.
  5. According to Wikipedia, the Black Sabbath album Born Again went platinum in the UK, although it did not do anything like as well elsewhere. I was surprised when I read this, as I had previously been under the impression that my brother was just about the only person in the entire universe who actually bought a copy. I have never heard anyone else admit to owning a copy, and I have never known anyone else express a liking for either the album or for any song on it.
  6. Pau from The Warning is a songwriter of the highest calibre ... and it appears that she has just been praised on Twitter by a bloke called Kirk Hammett.
  7. Greetings. About me ... I listened to the likes of Deep Purple and Dio in my younger days, but then kind of lost interest in music for many years. It seems strange looking back, but for many years I honestly preferred books, television, and occasionally the cinema. Nowadays I like a variety of music, but relevant to this site I like the harp twins, Gabbie Rae, Motion Device, and The Warning.
