1. yes, it's me, the chinese guy. Thank you for remembering me, you are really kind. I didn't mean the folk metal. Let me show you a band from China. Hanggai It's a Mongolian band. They play the mongolian music with modern equipments and their native instruments. They are good. They are awesome. I'm really prond of them. But they are not a metal band. No distortion, no overload and no power chord. They were invited by Wacken for their characteristic national elements. Meanwhile, Wacken also invite other national music bands from all around the world. Here's a vedio you can check. ???? - ??Wacken Open Air?????(??)?????????????????? Anything the Wacken do is OK. I just don't know why wacken invite non-metal bands to show while Wacken's announce they are a metal music festival. Well, maybe it's cool. But if they put a cuty boy, you know who I mean, no offense to him, it's not cool anymore. Would you do me a favor? I can't view many foreign website, like youtube, facebook and twitter in China. But I don't know whether you people can view many chinese website. So maybe these links will fail. That's terrible. Would you have a look and then tell me whether it works? And what's tyco drummer?
2. Well, I must explain. Some word I wrote in this thread just for joking. Maybe it's excessive, but I swear, no malice. Ignoring the Wiki, my point is that Wacken is a metal festival as we know, so I just can't understand why they invite these non-metal bands in. It's like we go to watch the World Cup but they say "the first half is done, now let's watch a basketball match before the next half." Yep, it can be that, no problem, but don't you feel it's too silly? I love any kinds of music except the pop, and metal is the best. I still want to go to Wacken even Justin Bieber is having a show in there. By the way, I'm 24. No matter what Wacken's organisers do, I'll accept it. Maybe we have some disagreement, but I respect what you said. I hope you know that.
3. Not the folk metal. I mean the national music. They are in different culture and play their native music. Those are parts of the World Music. It's definitely not metal.
4. Wacken Open Air is a summer open air heavy metal music festival. This come from WiKi. Obviously, It has emphasized the HEAVY METAL right? But why there are some folk bands on the open air? Someone said they were invited as the World Music players. So it can be that? What were they thinking? "Oh my god! Fans will be exposed to killing sounds over 4 hours, we'd better do something." "Yep, why not to add a folk band and calm them down?" "Oh, that's a good idea! Now we can save their ears!" More and more music festial are becoming complex, or diversified. And I know it can't let all fans satisfied. However, why Wacken make it complicatied? Those folk bands are definitely awesome, but they are not belong to this wonderful metal field. Someone said they keep the world and music together by this way. So as the time pass, they'll continue to invite the blues, Rap, and fucking Justin Bieber. OK, that's it. Maybe I go to extreme.
5. Well, maybe you can choose some slower licks and riffs you like not an entire song at first. When I first touched my guitar, I used the song Smoke On The Water to help me get into this. Until now, I can play many songs faster and better, but the only stuff I can play from this song is its intro—just three chords. I think it is an effective way to improve your skills. There are few songs which contain a relatively slow part. If you don't like, ignore it. I hope that could help you. Psychosocial — Slipknot Iron Man — Black Sabbath To Live Is To Die — Metallica Here Comes The Pain — Slayer T.N.T — AC/DC Bleeding Me — Metallica In Bloom — Nirvana
6. As I know, Tom Araya was a doctor. So I think he had digged some guys deep. Angel of Death!!
7. Pantera Suicide Silence Slayer Rammstein Manowar
8. In my opinion, Metallica's stuff is just heavy, not too thrash. But I have to say, these four old guys are creative!
9. I'm so excited to be here! I am a metal fan from China. My name is Yang, 24 years old. There have too little metal music listeners around me and I feel lonely. But Fortunately, I found this web. I love Deathcore, thrash, black and other noisy music. Anyway, I really want to meet a lot of friends here. Nice to see you guys.
