"Gates" has a unique appeal but it's basic & rudimentary; its really the next 3 where they hit their stride "Under Jolly Roger"; "Port Royal" and "Death or Glory". And it sure didn't stop there.....my personal fav is "Black Hand Inn" but "Masquerade" and "Pile of Skulls" are both great.
This is a super band with a great back catalogue.
YouTube "Freewind Rider" for all the proof you need that this is indeed power metal royalty.

You forgot Branded and Exiled, but yes, I agree that they would get even better. Under Jolly Roger doesn't grab me as much as their early albums, but Port Royal and Death or Glory are two of the best power metal albums ever.
