Too many awful bands out there. I'm not even going to mention The Biebs, One Direction, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, etc, because it is implied...Hm...Pink Floyd, Nickelback, Black Veil Brides, Avenged Sevenfold, and Attila.
Thank you man. I do still enjoy some nu-metal...Ill Nino, Sevendust...that's about it actually. If you have some suggestions I'll definitely give them a spin.
It was a rhetorical question, calm down...I may be a newcomer to this forum, but I'm familiar with metal and have spent a lot of time checking out different music.
I just finished reading Lord of the Flies my second time around. I love reading (I'm going to college for English) and will pick up most anything given to me. Currently, I'm reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
Since I don't play an instrument myself, it's hard for me to distinguish between genres. So I'll just assume these are technical or at least have some elements in them. I recently just got into that type of metal. At first I didn't care for it, it felt very repetitive (the blast beats and playing guitar as fast as possible). I listened to some Fleshgod Apocalypse and loved Labyrinth, I thought the symphonic elements were beautiful. Then I got into Beyond Creation, (early) Thy Art Is Murder, Beyond Creation, Septicflesh, and Rings of Saturn.
A friend of mine recommended Decrepit Birth a while back, but I have yet to give them a listen. Which album would you suggest?
I love Edge of Sanity, Purgatory Afterglow is such a killer album. I love melodic music with a deep passion. I like all types of music though. Since I grew up in the 90s I also grew up with the modern stuff. Is there anything modern that you enjoy?
